Not really, they were about the same level as Exeter. However, after seeing today's performance I would give that team a go against City too.
If the best kids Liverpool have at their disposal are about as good as a mid table League Two side, you've got problems.
And I'm sure that any top flight club would have similar problems. I'v never been a fan of the 'U21' leagues which replaced the old Reserve system. It's breeding a generation of pansies who don't know what to do with themselves when they come up against someone who is able to tackle them on a pitch which isn't like Wembley.
You see these young lads on loan in the lower league all the time and so, so often they just aren't up to actually playing competitive football.
