Need to win today to atone for the last second equaliser on Tuesday. Looks like we’re still going to be without Law, Moxey and Lee Martin which isn’t ideal and expect Boateng to be on the bench.

Tranmere are decent and their obvious threat is Norwood so we will need to keep him quiet. I rate Jennings too so they’re a threat and have a good play off chance especially if they beat us today.

Think it will be tight but think we may nick it 2-1. Bowman and Jay for us; Norwood for Tranmere. 4,221 in attendance.

If your players underestimate us as much as a few of the posters on here do you’ll get a bit of a shock today . Can’t see Taylor doing that though and most likely result to me is a 1-1.

Norwood with the guaranteed goal I said he’d get.

All over Exeter, we haven’t let them get going so far. Plenty of chances coming our way.

Poor afternoon from us. We were awful first half and Tranmere fully deserved their lead even if Norwood seemed to mis hit his shot for the goal but they all count...

Tranmere stopped us playing with any rhythm and we were sloppy and predictable in equal measure. The final 20 mins were good and Davies made two excellent saves. Boateng and Law coming on made a difference but Tranmere deserved their win over all.

Autos now gone and to be honest I dont know if we’ll even make the play offs if today is anything to go by.

As for Tranmere they looked decent, particularly first half. Norwood a constant threat and was impressed with Caprice too. Monthe is an odd one...Looked really ungainly but Forte has little joy against him. Think they may sneak the play offs.

Fantastic day out, makes the long away trips worth the while. First half we played very well I thought, second hung on in there and ground it out.

No complaints. Failed to get going. Finished well but damage was done. Tranmere fans were good.
At least Law and Boateng were back and looked classy.
Was impressed with Norwood, much to my disgust

Norwood was on our of our fan run podcasts for 2 hours this week, mentioned the Exeter stint in decent detail. He joined after college rather than through Exeter academy and as a result wasn’t really aware what etiquette was expected as a footballer. Essentially got frozen out due to a lack of professionalism

Norwood is a Looky Looky man to have turned his career around at Tranmere.

Possibly. He’s obviously knuckled down and improved immensely under Mellon. He isn’t recognisable from the player that joined from FGR. He actually runs less now, but his hold up play and finishing are a lot more composed.

Just a little interesting one for you; Connor Jennings has an average distance covered of 12.5km per 90mins this season. I’m not sure there’ll be more than a handful of players in the country higher, incredibly underrated and slightly baffling that he didn’t settle at any of his previous clubs. Similar to Norwood.

A huge result for us. A couple of months ago we would not have been capable of going away from home against a top side and putting in an authoritative performance like that, so a lot of credit has to go to Mellon for the players he signed in January. They have given us something extra.

I have actually been impressed with Exeter in both games this season, despite the fact we have beaten them twice. They looked far more of a threat when Law and Boateng came on, but will they miss Stockley's goals ? It is a statement of the obvious, but Norwood has been the difference for us in so many tight matches this season.

You also have to credit Brabin with playing Norwood in a central role, rather than out wide, where Forest Green had used him. Will be missed when he leaves.

Jennings well thought of at Wrecsam and Macc, previous clubs. Whatever happens to Nors, Connor with us for another year.

Yes Credit is due to Mellon and the new signings, in particularly David Perkins and Ben Pringle.

Norwood will sign a 3 year contract with a large release clause soon apparently.

Would be great for Tranmere, that. Just one thought, despite Norwood being a very good striker, surely his age would put off a bigger club paying a ‘very large release clause’?

Will believe this when I see it! Unless we're upping his pay considerably, I imagine he'd want to take a chance on League One before his age begins with a '3'. Presuming we don't get promoted of course!

The only way we can keep him is by winning promotion, and even then it is highly unlikely. Top end League One / lower end Championship clubs will be offering him £5-10,000 a week in the summer, figures we simply can't match.

All the more reason to go for promotion this season, as we just don't know how strong we will be next year. Our overall squad will be reasonable but we certainly won't have a thirty goal striker.

He doesn't want to leave, his girlfriend is at uni here, loves the fans (genuinely) so unless a Sunderland or Sheff Wed type came in, he's staying. He's also been offered the club captaincy which I believe is an influence
