I'm really pleased for Grimsby and the supporters.

Artell has shown to be unreal at grinding out excellent away wins so far this season.

The next phase is for him to implement a front foot style, which will help what is quite poor form at Blundell Park.
Yep, need to start picking up points at home again. Recent home matches have all been against teams you'd fancy to finish above us (MKD, Donny and probably Walsall and maybe even Barrow too). Colchester and Accrington up next at BP sandwiched between games away at Newport and Morecambe is a more forgiving run than we've had lately. Be interesting to see how we play against these sides and how we do.

“quite poor”…!?

Someone did an analysis on the Fishy - it appears that we’ve been feckin shite at home for about the last 20 years.

Also we don’t know whether the atmosphere at home games is shite because of that or whether we are shite at home because the atmosphere is shite.

I blame Thatcher for taking away our terraces. Tuesday night at Grimsby with 7k on, 85% of us standing, no one fancied that. A Millwall fan even titled his book with that.

He scores when he starts, he scores when he comes off the bench, and he scores when he doesn't. Now that's talent.

He may not be the best forward in the league but could be the most valuable.

Rumour going around that Notts have forgotten to install an update on their super computer and we now have the best data in the division...

I found it strange when Brighton lent us Barrington ,one of their players who by all accounts is 'one for the future ' at a lot higher level and cost them 3/4 of a million from City . I wonder if the FA cup game was what established the connection with Tony Blooms Jamestown data empire or whatever it is ?
We do seem to be heading in the right direction for once which might take a while to get used to

Back down to earth with defeat at Newport today probably

Yeah, wouldn't surprise me at all if Jason and Andrew used that opportunity to build some relationships. They've had discussions with plenty of clubs and owners in L1/2 that they were keen to replicate I certain ways so would make perfect sense that they'd make a beeline for the Brigthon owners given what was a perfect chance when they're very much probably the best example of what we aspire to be.

For all those off the field aspirations though, I really hope we dont ever become another Brighton. As nice a day out it was, it was exactly that...nice. Nice for us, nice for them, nice stadium, nice fans mixing outside the ground...but a fairly bland atmosphere really.
