Much better already to be honest. Just more on the front foot. More postive formation, intent, more attacking players on the pitch.

Obviously mindful we need to start seeing it in the league and teams have games raised for cup ties against sides divisions higher before.

Challinor seems very much aware of this in his post match. Speaks like a normal human being unlike Rusks cliche book shit.

So now every game is basically done who's everyone hoping for?
I’d take you guys at home. Or Buxton/St Albans. Wouldn’t want any of you away though. Pretty much any non league side at home I’d be happy with in all honesty.

Absolutely bizarre that our game was moved to Sunday for the sake of three minutes of highlights on the BBC website, as opposed to the ninety seconds that all the other games get anyway.

Any winnable home tie. Or Mansfield home or away would be a good laugh. Or Buxton away.

I think if the draw was anyone in League Two or below at home, we could feel that two home games would give us half a chance of getting to the third round.

Personally would like an away game somewhere I haven't been, though, which would be Buxton or St Albans from the non-league bit, or an Ipswich/Bolton/Wigan from League One, all replays permitting.

Buxton v Chesterfield would be nice.
I'd love that. Away at Buxton would be a great day, can you get a pint in the Crescent since it's been done up? Not sure where the ground is tbh and I've been the Buxton a couple times!

How many tickets can we expect for the replay?
You'll get the full Railway End, just depends how many blocks in the Pop Side we'll give you.

If you could shift 1'700-2000 you'll probably get the nod on that. Be disappointed if you didn't tbh. Yeah it's not a big game for you, but you should muster it to come to a ground you won't have been to for years not far up the road.

I reckon this has the chance for TV. I'd expect 8k plus in the whole ground regardless.

You still going?

You need to go and let some steam off buddy. It’s nice to know our transfer outlay has upset you this much aswell… although having come across your forum a couple of times it seems your not the only Halifax fan that has similar feelings. Has us taking Jeff King off you hurt that much?

Wouldn’t blame you tbf, he’s absolute mustard that lad
Has he got more assists or yellow's this season? I mean we are only 2 points behind you in the table so I'll leave you to work out if its actually hindered or hurt us much

Everyone wants the lowest ranked team left at this stage. One round away from hoping you draw Man Utd but actually end up drawing Burton away Haha.

I'm no different hoping we get a favourable home draw.

Plucky League Two Harrogate.

He was probably confused by their ground and home support.

Anyone know if any replays will get live TV coverage, I reckon us along with Notts and Solihull must be in with a good shout.

He's really got to you. Do you know him personally?
He’s been posting on various Chesterfield forums asking for fan footage of the incident to support an appeal.

Weird really so they must be desperate. He’s got a ST at Chesterfield too which makes it all the more strange

They usually pick a couple I’m sure. If it clashes with CL nights though be prepared for them to be Monday’s or Thursdays

If you want to know what ShayShite and AJS REALLY think when they're not sucking dick on here, check them out on their home forum- AJS is same username, while ShayShite calls himself Greggs on there.

Btw, nobody misses Jeff, we have better on the other flank at fullback, local lad Jack Senior. :bdick:

With it now being a 5 star spa hotel I’m not sure they’d be opening the bar up to a load of football fans!!!

I doubt they would show us v Dale. Stockport, Solihull, maybe Oldham v Ipswich has a chance. They’ll probably go for Plymouth v Wednesday again though, as it’s the biggest team left in versus one of the biggest, despite it being a pretty dull all L1 affair

If we ever get Buxton away in the cup/trophy I'm doing a long weekend in the Peak District for sure.

You come across as quite bitter about it, harping on about his bookings all the time. He’s been one of our best players. 5 bookings, 4 assists and a goal. Great RWB at this level.

I was surprised at that 5 back system. You were clearly technically better but I think we just wanted it more. We didn't stop pressing for the whole game and forced you to go long to Taylor who looked isolated up top.
Yes, I agree your fitness held up well, all around me expected you to slow down and tire, obviously getting the goal helped to keep the legs pumping but we were poor at times and made it easy for you. Resting both fullbacks was a mistake and the wing backs didn't do much. Hope you get a decent draw in the next round, you deserve it.

If you play like that against Telford next week you'll get a load of goals I'm sure.

For most of our fans, this is how it works: All players are "dross", the moment they are announced coming in, the manager doesn't know what he's doing, when is the chairman going to open his wallet. If they prove to be any good they'll be dismissed as a "one trick pony", unless they're REALLY good- like Vardy-when they'll be "Legends" after 10 games. When they leave, however they turned out, they'll be shit again.

Yeah, most of our fans are simple minded bastards. :ds:

They do tend to love a non league at home to a league at this stage though.

Yeah.. although without wishing to come over too billy big bollocks I’m not sure Notts v Rochdale would particularly come over to the general viewing public as much of a NL v FL David versus Goliath tie..

Solihull vs Wigan and Stockport vs Bolton are glaringly obvious as the tv ties I would’ve thought. Wouldn’t be surprised if we start the replay as slight favourites with the bookies.

Bolton v County yesterday was pretty much everything you could want from an FA Cup tie, especially the first half with two sides set out to attack, all the goals involved silly defensive errors too and the only surprise is there weren't more than four.

On Bolton's part, they clearly set up to allow us to press high, numerous times our backline was a good 40-50 yards up and they'd look to send a pacey through-ball between our defenders and run on to it with their incredibly quick forwards, more than once we were only able to mop things up by quickly bringing 4 or 5 into the box. County were trying similar things but just needed a little more smartness due to not having the same pace up front, the way Quigley pounced on an unnecessary backpass then beat his man on the outside for the opening goal was pure sniper's instinct. And I loved Madden's little pause to let Whitfield get in behind the two men closing him down for our second.

Second half, both teams clearly set up to close things down a lot more and chances became more scarce, the hosts certainly having the better of things but County were far from outclassed. Of course that's what you'd expect given the nature of our signings, but still, it was against what was largely a L1 side's first team.

Best we've played since matching West Ham's first team in January. Let's hope the club don't pointlessly f### us over again...

I'd choose our tie for TV tbh. Bolton will bring a few and will be a healthy home crowd. It did have a local derby feel yesterday. Solihull- Wigan has the same potential in terms of upset and general game but anyone doing their research will realise Solihull will still have fuck all there and not many Wigan will be arsed going down there especially if it's on TV.

If they show Plymouth vs Sheffield Wednesday again, I'd despiar. Does anybody want to watch that? Did anybody watch the first match bar fans of the two teams involved?
