We should have been 4 - 1 up at half time and game over. Two nil and you are always in it. Nasty injury for the keeper, hope he is ok. 18 minute injury time and should have seen the game out. Then becomes madness for extra time. When 5 -3 should have seen it out but both defences having mares they grab the lead for the first time.

This is a fantastic performance by Chorley! Wonderful. :ds:
Just hope we can now take this forward to get a few points in league games. Terrific performance today, I know the red card changed the game but like to think Cardwell would have scored had he not been brought down. Well done yo all the players.

Just to say that the game at plainmoor was one of the maddest I gave ever seen.

Torquay should have won. They were all over us. Fair play we kept plugging away but the Gills will be kicking cats for the next couple of weeks.

Our keeper has been released from hospital. Said to be fine apart from a concussion. I was worried about him for a while there. Pure accident but scary.

Good luck for the rest of the season...I think you might have used all the bad luck up in this game.

Brackley's third time getting to R2... and its most underwhelming. 4 home ties, walkover versus one team due to corona, two ties versus lower level opponents, and two penalty shootouts needed to get through. Hardly plucky 'roy of the rovers' stuff... don't really deserve to be there... but I guess that's just the 'luck of the cup', so I guess I shouldn't begrudge it on being on our side this year.

Saturday`s luck should guarantee a R2 win and home draw vs Liverpool in R3. Not sure how St James` Park would keep thousands of Midlands scousers outside in a BCD situation though?

Dire performance from Northampton here. Oxford City should be in front

Are all the upsets because no one gives a shit about the cup this year?

Less prize money, no fans, no replays if you pull a bigger club, season is condensed enough without cup games etc

You might be onto something. The lack of fans definitely seems to be helping the smaller clubs.

Credit once again to us Darlington fans.

We raised over £3500 to pay for the players hotel stay overnight and travel down to Bristol Rovers in the next round, which has exceeded the £3350 target set by our CEO.

We raised £1665 or something along those lines for the Swindon game in the last round.

F*cking superb

Wasn't much of a draw for most of the non league sides sadly.

Mostly away or drawn together.

Disagree, 2 non league sides drawn together guarantees that one gets into the 3rd round. Attractive tie for the telly as well, IMO

Boreham Wood could get a home tie v Man United and refuse access to TV cameras.

Awful set of match choices by BBC and BT - somehow the only non-league team at home to an EFL side has been left out entirely.

Let's be honest it was slim pickings.

The Hive hardly screams ram shackle ground that no nowt premier league fans expect to see when non-league teams challenge football league clubs in the early rounds of the cup. Had you still been at Underhill you'd probably have had more of a chance.

Very happy for us to be chosen. Would have much preferred to be at home, but £37.5k tv money is great for a fan owned club like ours.

I don't understand why Darlo fans have to fund the cost of the trip? You get £8,500 just for losing in the 2nd round.

What does it matter? It saves it coming out of the budget and saves dipping into the money we've received.

If we, as fans, wanna contribute to pay for the trip, then we will :) It is our club after all.

Because I've never heard of people doing these things unless there's special circumstances?

There is little that is attractive about Canvey Island v Boreham Wood
I get your point, not exactly Alfreton is it?

Though the interest is still there for the neutral because one of them is certain to be in round 3.
