BrainTREE v Maldon & TipTREE wonder if there has ever been a match in FA Cup history where the team names both end the same.Any history buffs out there?

Massive game on Tuesday away at FC United for Alfreton. We really need the prize money
Both sides have drawn all their league matches to date is a close contest is anticipated. Have a feeling we will prevail on penalties. Lets see.

I see Boston United have had to withdraw due to some of their players coming down with covid.

Guiseley 2-0 Matlock Town

Matlock having two players and their assistant manager sent off through the course of the game. Not giving themselves the best chance of progression! Shame as they looked decent in the first five minutes until the first red card.

We lost to Wimborne on penalties

We missed a penalty to make it 3-1, then conceded an equaliser with the last kick of the game and then missed 3 straight penalties in the shoot out.......what a shambles

Beat Spennymoor 3-1 to go through tonight.

Strange game really, Spennymoor were ridiculously good for ten minutes in each half but we otherwise kept them well at arms length. All a bit fits and starts from them really.

Other upset results:

Braintree 0-1 Maldon
Leiston 0-0 Telford (9-8 pens)
Southport 1-1 South Shields (2-4 pens)
Cambridge City 2-0 Halesowen is kind of an upset given the latter's Trophy run last season.

Through following a 6-1 win against Tadcaster. Played well on the night and were clinical with the chances we created, but credit to Tadcaster kept going and they deserved their goal for the chances they created. We got a good draw and took advantage. Lowest ranked team possible at home in the draw on Thursday please.

There are so many Southern clubs in the draw that it looks like all teams north of the M25 will be forced into the Northern section of the draw for 4QR. This includes St Albans, Hemel, Oxford City and Maldon & Tiptree.

Great reaction result from the lads after Saturday's disappointment. And an added bonus of £5,625 in the coffers!
Good all round performance and yes another home draw will do us just fine.

Keep Glen Taylor at bay and Spennymoor are in a bit of a pickle. Still that's a solid win beating Spenny!

Well, Chorley best York with another penalty from Lewis Reilly. Did we deserve to win, probably not, it was ugly, we defended very well, York hit post and crossbar but couldn't find equalizer.. The stream was very jerky for about 15 minutes then seemed to settle down.
Just glad to have got a win and in the hat for next round, the cash will come in handy too.

Pretty sure that isn’t right?

Welling were knocked out in the 2nd round, I know Cray Valley PM and Cambridge City won last night also.

Weren’t Gloucester City beaten by Christchurch?
