The FA have banned fans at all levels for round 1.

If it were a normal season there's actually some good ties there

Salford away would've been decent if fans could go. I think we had 800 odd there on a Tuesday night the season before last.

Either way, good tie to test ourselves and all that. Couldn't really care if we win or lose though like.

Bishop's Stortford v St Albans on BT has been pretty entertaining so far.

A pretty easy away tie for Darlo at Swindon should see us safely into round 2.

Didn't Hampton draw Oldham last year?

Surely clubs will have their own now anyway. I certainly would kick up a stink if Notts weren't on due to BBC wanting highlights at half 2 in a morning!!
But I guess we don't have to worry about that anyway

So they’ve changed the rules and anyone calling off a game due to COVID won’t now automatically get chucked out of the competition.

Seems fair...after all we weren’t in the first round because of COVID for the first time in something like 140 years, so it’s entirely reasonable that they’ve changed the rules now the big boys are involved.

Entirely predictable and unsurprising. Heaven forbid the big Football League and Prem sides are inconvenienced in any way, but sod the non-league sides apparently. Such seems to be the FA's approach.

Chorley fans must be devastated. What a day out for them that would have been.

Your ambition is to draw Salford City away in the FA Cup? Dude, I don't care how long we're stuck down here, I'll NEVER consider Salford City, or any of the Mickey Mouse outfits who've bought themselves a place in the Football League, a plum tie. Christ, remember who you are dude. :ds:

The Hartlepool lads getting an absolute slating here.

Jeff Stelling bragging about playing Gary Neville's Salford on Twitter.

Darlington FC wouldn't be seen dead doing this.

Are we? Off who?

Awful draw, won't make much out of it and will get beat. 6th time in 9 years we've drawn them in a cup.

Hmmm.

You just know they couldn’t give a monkeys about any of the clubs in the first round draw, they’re just shitting themselves at the prospect of booting out Liverpool or Man U. Despite the fact those clubs don’t really give a shit about the competition themselves.

Yeah, we're over the moon as well.

If you retain an interest in your old boys, Gerry Ryan remains a very competent midfielder and Jake Beesley has been impressive for work rate and general play since we signed him, but maybe needs a goal or two to give him a bit more confidence in himself.

Good luck in the league, could do with you back up sooner rather than later...

as with Wrexham and a few others it looks like later is the more likely...

Jimmy Ryan is one of my favourite players for him. That side we had under Paul Cook should have really got us promoted to the Championship if we hadn't lost Liam Cooper to Leeds and Eoin Doyle to Cardiff mid season. Beesley was a youngster who never got a chance but I think has scored against us for Solihull and Salford maybe since, so he's a good bet to score again.

It's been downhill since and to be fair I didn't mind a trip to Rochdale, usually took a few, the away end is a good one and I lived in Manchester for 5 years so was always a good booze up having friends visit. Just a shame we can't go now..

16 live games then, nice. Harrogate v Skelmersdale an odd choice for the full TV crew treatment though.
