I’ve watched Orient play there in a friendly 6 years ago when Greenwich Borough played there and it’s quite an experience that ground, we took around 600 fans that day and it was hard work even with the crowd unsegregated.

They can’t even accommodate all the 2500 away fans they took at the weekend FFS!
Council have even agreed that their capacity can be upgraded from 1000 to 1500 fans, it's gonna be proper crammed. It's usually unsegregated and only has one turnstile but sounds like that'll change for this game.
Predicting it to be utter chaos, although I am quite pleased it's not been moved

Shocked it’s not been moved to Welling or Bromley tbh. CVPM simply don’t have the infrastructure to handle crowds over 300-400 or so.

1500 is going to be fun then. They had 55 at their home game last night haha, although I think it was a bit of a nothing cup game.

Away fans will be segregated and there will be a separate entrance so will be interesting to see how they do this

Good job its on the BBC, though it will be interesting to see how their infrastructure copes with all their vans and cables...

Wow - reminds me of Hinckley's Middlefield Lane in 2001. We played them in the second round of the cup and were their record attendance there (2,661).

It was literally a pitch behind an industrial estate.

Reminds me of Shortwood when we went there, I think they had one stand and the rest you could just walk round at your leisure, no segregation, was a cold Monday night as it was on TV... enjoyed it, was so isolated you had to park 2 miles away and get a shuttle minibus up the dirt track hill to the ground.

Good times, one we won as well so wasn't tainted by bad memories!

We've sold over 900 for tomorrow's replay at Burton, doesn't sound like their sales are going well mind and part of the ground may be shut.

As for the game, we've got 11 players out with Garrity now added to the 7 injuries plus the 3 missing with International Duty (Arblaster would of been banned anyhow).

Smith returns from suspension so we should be able to field 3 centre halves at least, big chance for Rhys Walters to step into Arblaster's shoes, the youth prodigy has been outstanding in the Pizza and Carabao Cup games winning Man of the Match on all 5 apps so far and had Wrexham fans waxing lyrical so hopefully he can build on that.

Expecting:

Ripley

Sang
Cass
Smith
Debrah
Plant

Ojo
Walters

Chislett
Conlon

Uche

Its about the only XI we can field and Conlon has barely played for months but should still be competitive, its if we need to delve into the bench the options look bleak as it will have to be mostly Youth Players and Ryan Loft and Gav Massey! Suppose we could stick Massey at LWB and put Plant in Conlon's place.

Yes are are closing the don amott stand. Low presales. He has threatened this before and then backed down.
It’s largely down to the manager. Many are not going. Like me. His style of play is putting fans off.
But people will walk up on the night and pay on the door. Why pre order for a boring 1st round cup game ? So he might regret closing it.

Don’t care if we win or lose. If we win it’s some money, if we lose it’s another nail in his coffin for him. I want him out.
Either way I’m staying in the house. Can’t be arsed. Will use flashscores. Less painful.

Aside from the money I don't think either side will be desperate for an away trip to Stevenage in fairness!

If vale have got 11 players out injured then it's got be a nailed on Burton win due to vale fielding a weakened team. It's probably not what Burton fans want either as it will keep the manager in a job for a few more weeks plus no fucker wants go Stevenage.

8 injured, 2 away with England Elite and 1 with Wales U21.

Not quite sure how we are setting up as we only have two defenders starting full stop.

Cass dropped to the bench so Smith and Debrah, possibly Ojo back in there or we are playing 4 at the back but then it’s hard to see who’s left back in that system.

Garrity has made it which is a massive boost and big chance for Rhys Walters!

Typical first half from us, dominated, should be out of sight but only the one goal lead. Some good football at times but need to learn from the weekend here.

Still can’t figure out how Uche missed an open goal from a few yards out!

Very good effort so far but need to put it together for two halves.

Yep. It's getting to be a pattern now. Far better team AGAIN and then we'll no doubt throw it away after not scoring enough goals.

Great win for Vale tonight given the available players or rather lack of. Nice to see us get that second goal for once and two of our more criticised players scored both (frankly I think Masseys treatment this season has been disgraceful but that’s another matter).

I get the feeling Maamria won’t be at Burton much longer. That was a team that went through the motions and it’s being kind.

Tick tock.
Not long now.
Follow hasslebank out the door please and let’s get our club back.
Didn’t go tonight. Won’t go whilst he is still there.

Easy win with a depleted side but an enjoyable night and worth the ten quid.

Didn’t sit back and look what happens! We get another and win!

Walters was impressive yet again, sent one of their lads for his half time hotdog about 10 minutes early at one point!

Uche is exciting in that he’ll miss a sitter from 6 yards then do a flick to take out three defenders and in fairness they didn’t know what to do with him, he bullied them tonight, if he can just finish we’d be laughing!

Ojo stepped back into defence and was decent and Debrah was outstanding before his injury (another centre half down!).

Chuffed for Massey and especially Cass after Saturday to get the goals.

Probably more Vale fans there than Burton and a good atmosphere in the away end.

We’ve mastered the cup ties if we could just take it into the league! Frustrating, we seem to be just a cup team at the minute.

It was pretty comfortable in the end. To be honest, we've played Burton 3 times and each time I thought we looked the much better team, yet we've only won one of them and they're above us in the league! (Albeit having played a game more).

We finally put the game to bed after what felt like a few scrambles around the Burton penalty area.

I've said a few times that our performances have been actually good (Apart from Cheltenham) and we probably deserve a higher points total. If we can cut out those stupid goals we regularly concede and shut games off like we did tonight then hopefully we'll move up the table.

Men against boys last night, and that includes 17 year old Walters, he was on a different level in the 1st half. He was toying with the Burton midfield at times. Can't recall ever being that comfortable at an away match before, yet it's Vale so until that 2nd went in, you just never know. The school kid Burton fans closest the away end were amusing.

First five minutes I was thinking it could be a long night but once we got control of the game we never let it go.

Walters is going to make us good money, if Blaster does get recalled he’s not a bad option to replace him which is pleasing, although the way the Wrexham fans were foaming about him last week we might have some suitors sooner rather than later.

Poor turn out from Burton but as said they seemed to be going through the motions a bit, the we hate Vale chants were funny.

Proper away fixture this one, they’ve beaten us 3 or 4 times at Vale Park since that 7-1 win we had and we’ve won 3 in a row at their place.

I wouldn’t get carried away. We were as bad as we get. You didn’t have to do much. We are so short of ideas.
thankfully we didn’t play Horsham or slough and face the embarrassment of losing to them. Although it might have got rid of him quicker.
We will lose our next three and hopefully that signals the sack.
When we hopefully get ourselves sorted we will give you a proper game. We have some very talented players but under this Sunday league slogger they are demoralised, demotivated and all in the wrong positions.
Mansfield next game in the efl and clough could send us closer to removing him.
For fucks sake ben - what more can we say ? 1500 home fans. We are voting with our feet. Fuck him off now before it gets worse.

The biggest cheer of the night from the away end was probably the Burton Subs! Was a great sadness at the start to hear various sponsors such as "Wetmore Fish and Chips" but we needed to fear not! Doggy Day Care was the sub sponsor still!

I don`t know which miracle worker can bring success to Burton with their 3000 gates in league 1, to most outsiders it still looks like they are punching above their weight.
Quite how Cole Stockton ended up there is a mystery and I suppose he must take up a fair proportion of the budget.

The best thing about Uche is he doesn’t know where his touch is going to take the ball so the opposition doesn’t have a clue either. Total box office.

We make a lot of money off the pitch. Good commercial activity. Also we sell players for profit - some from the youth team. It’s how we exist.
Stockton is on 2.5k a week apparently.
In the championship we had players on 10k a week believe it or not.
