Plum ties for Posh & Wigan. Surprisingly happy with the possibility of Watford - we haven’t played them since I was born and Championship clubs love playing their reserves in the third round.

Luton away.

Happy enough with that, winnable.

Be a scramble for tickets though.

15 years of waiting (due to the scum playing their trade in non league in all that time), we have the chance to reunite the rivalry with the sheep herders. Watch them bollocks it up against Yeovil now. Bet every constable at West Mercia police will be cheering on the Glovers this afternoon!

Yeah felt you had an extra gear to go into that you didn't need today. Still though, I think we gave an okay account of ourselves considering we've changed direction and manager less than a week ago. If we'd have taken one of our chances when we were on top in the second half it could have been different.

Agreed you gave a decent account of yourselves. It may have been different if your forward had taken the early chance and I still don't know what he was trying to do with it after a good cross.

Coventry away is underwhelming but at least it is close.

Looked like Reading were in control until they did their tennis ball protest and then Eastleigh go and score after the restart off a nice move.

Blackburn away. Shite draw.

I don't mind, but then I live in the next county over so it's only half hour away!

Aside from selfish reasons, there are a lot worse ties we could have got, at least we haven't played away at Blackburn since the early 90s.

Doubt we'll trouble our record of played there 8 times, lost all 8, but you never know, magic of the cup and all that....

Reading are skint so they leave a load of players out in the FA cup, makes no sense to me

20 minutes to spare their blushes but this has been dire stuff from Reading. Quite frankly if you didn’t already know which division each team was in you’d think Eastleigh are from the higher league.

Had some spare time, thought I'd watch the Reading game. They have been absolutely woeful. Eastleigh fully deserve their lead at the moment.

And that should be the winner for Eastleigh. That McCallum looks a right handful. Bit of a foreign concept to me strikers getting into the six yard box to finish things off. We should try it some time.

Enjoyed that felt like a proper FA cup tie, and I thought we edged a game of not many chances whatsoever. Very fortuitous goal for us, but think we deserved that bit of luck.

Good to see a decent following in the away end for once as well (rather than the standard man & his dog you get most weeks in the NL). Orient looked a bit toothless in the final third for me, I always felt very comfortable whenever they came at us tbf. Not sure if an off day in that regards for you or if that’s something you’re concerned about?

Onto Watford away, new ground for me so I shall be there.

McCallum is absolute dross. Perfect for the National League but far too slow, unintelligent and poor with his feet for the EFL. Runs like a T-Rex as well.

No, we’re always that shit in the final third. No good forwards and Jordan Graham getting injured has absolutely shattered our creativity.

IMO our worst performance under Wellens, we showed very little enthusiasum throughout and didn't even dominate the possession for a spell of the game which we usually do. No clear cut chances at all.

Chesterfields goal was lucky, but they was the better side and deserved the win overall. The fact they knocked out a better side than us in Portsmouth in the first round meant I knew we'd really have to be on it today to at least force a replay because their home record is excellent.

Two more players picked up injuries as well, really not going for us at the minute and the squad has slowly gotten more stretched, just thankful that we now have no midweek games until the end of year.

Well done to all who worked to get the game on including a few O's fans I knew who stayed over.

Enjoy your visit !

Could get up to 4k in tickets but not sure if you will.

Hopefully prices will be reasonable .

Only trouble is our away end isn’t actually that great and doesn’t do alcohol!

Yeah, my nightmare scenario was that we’d pick up more injuries (I think we have 10 at the moment?), draw, and get taken to a replay and add yet another game to the festive fixture list - and then lose the replay anyway.

As it was, we were just pure dogshit (didn’t watch, like, but judging by fan reaction and manager/player apologies…).

So that’s all right then. Terrible gate of 1600 too, I can’t criticise as I wasn’t there, but the mood around the club is poor right now.

Still, as far as the “plum tie” we would have got had we not been dire - Swansea away is not an appealing one, wouldn’t attract the floating fan and we’d just get easily beaten by a better side.

Already had Ipswich away in one cup this season, now potentially Norwich away. I dont like losing but wouldnt be bothered if Crewe faced them instead of us. Another poor draw

To be fair, we said that or something similar every round last season and we had some of the best away days of recent times in those matches. Southampton is up there in the top three for me of all time. We said shit draw when it happened too. Coventry is definitely winnable for you, especially if they don't treat you with the respect you deserve and that Buckingham showed us in your team selection at the weekend I might add. Am I right in thinking Murphy is only on the fringes of your lineup? Send him our way if he needs games time please! Looks like a cracking player.

Norwich is a ball ache from Bristol but I imagine it’s a decent away day once you’re there as there are tons of pubs in the city and it’s not a million miles from the ground to the train station. I’ve been loads of times as my wife’s family are all Norwich fans and I’ve been desperate for us to draw them away in the cup while they’re on a bit of a downer!

As it is we get play off chasing Blackburn which is about the worst possible draw for us - it ranks up there with Middlesbrough, Swansea and Plymouth for us I reckon.

Steve Evans just dwarfs daylight...
He also suggested we were "Direct" we are probably the least direct side there is! I wish we would be more direct than pass pass get into a good positon but pass out wide, pass back pass pass then it ends with a poor cross or back to Ripley!

No doubt it’ll be heavily policed and Wrexham supporters not being allowed in any of the pubs in and around the stadium/town centre also. Are they still allowed to ‘bubble’ fans that are coming in by train these days?

We have gone more direct under Mangan and were still piss poor despite decent'ish results (against struggling sides)
I noticed in a lot of games we get a thrown-in deep inside the opposition half and it ends up back with our keeper after 2 touches. Its like safety first to the far extreme and so frustrating to watch

yeah we do this thing where we get into a decent position, dont have a pop but try and play it wide and if that doesnt work go backwards, I get the philosophy we've tried to install but we need to master than final bit of it better. Its frustrating to watch and hard work, just have a pop! Hence we generally have 60% possession plus quite often but rarely score!
