Not loads of examples to pick from but we seem to be the only higher division side underdogs with the bookies today.

For the first time this year we may actually be regarded as favourites to win, what could possibly go wrong?
Actually I’ll answer my own question, we have the son of Trevor Kettle as ref. If he is as random as his old man was, anything could happen !!

Can see it being a close game myself we might rest a few after playing Tuesday and having a big game against Notts this Tuesday

We will see. We do have some individual quality in our side but play so poorly and at such a slow pace as a team that any half decent side playing with confidence should get a result against us

Our squad is decent enough to rotate most, if not all, positions and still put out a decent side, so that’s what I hope we do here.

The squad players should be busting a gut to impress, but they need to feel they’re being given a chance otherwise that’s a short cut to a disgruntled dressing room.

…and we literally did rotate the ENTIRE side. That is the first time I can honestly ever think we’ve been able to do this and not be putting out some major deadwood.

1-0 up thanks to a banger of a free kick, but apparently Wealdstone have been decent and have had chances - so no complacency please.

We go through with a 2-0 win.

Let’s get the monster glamour tie we all want…Chelts away maybe? (it’d be just as exciting for them as it would be for us, don’t get me wrong).

Risky front two from Skubala today in Draper and Makama.

He's been bemoaning the strikers spurning chances for the last three or four games and then selects what are probably the two least prolific to start.

Tyler Walker in the squad for the first time this season. He's managed 20 minutes of football for us since the end of August 2023!

And 2-0 down already. Crawley would want to play us every week.

Crawley are really slowing the game down. We go 2 up and then try to play at walking pace. Lincoln come back into it. Second goal was annoying for us. Poor cross that our keeper tells the defenders to leave then doesn't get anywhere near. Mind you our second will have Lincoln fans screaming blue murder as well.

We started well and have gone right off the boil. Needs something to change or it's all Lincoln.

The ref is awful!

Walsall put out a weakened side and it ended in a comfortable win for us. Given how we’ve played this season, relatively we were actually quite good. A nice confidence booster before a must win on Tuesday vs Crawley and hopefully a big draw next round

Thank god for Crawley riling us up. We were dreadful first 15 minutes. O'Connor getting us a goal back so soon was crucial. Then we absolutely bossed the game from 15-80 mins and could have had a few more. Crawley then score to make it interesting through to the end, but nice to get a result from the position we were in and get through to the 3rd round. Believe that's the Mansfield away game weekend

Dear lord that second half was awful.

That truly was a decent league 1 outfit against a conference south side. It honestly could have been a cricket score. Lincoln were bigger, stronger and faster all over the pitch .

The only team worse than Crawley were the officials. Not biased just really bad. Players were being fouled and nothing given and then a player trips and it's a foul. They missed bloody obvious handballs and shirt pulls. Awful officiating.

Well that had plenty of drama, our keeper scored in the 98th minute to force extra time and then Dan Agyei scored the winner in the 120th minute - after missing a penalty in the first half of extra time.

Oldham gave everything and in 90mins deserved the win, we had a few chances to equalise before but didn't take them due to some good keeping and defending from Oldham.

Not sure about the Oldham goal if anyone touched the long throw or it went straight in, James Norwood missed a sitter for them in the first half, that goes in and we more than likely go out.

Oldham faded in extra time I thought, the 2 league gap in fitness showed I thought in the end.

Lucky win today, lucky to scrape through in round one against Boreham Wood on pens. lets hope this was worth it................

That’s football for you, lost our last three and we deserved at least a draw out of everyone yet we were worthy of nothing but defeat today and won 1-0.

Stevenage is grim.

We're true, as Louis Walsh would say

Not sure if Chesterfield are typical, but a clear gulf between leagues one and two today. We were as impressive as we weren't against Birmingham, Wrexham, and probably Wycombe.

No doubt get Peterborough away now

Stockport County.
There is a big difference between League One and League Two. League Two is very weak this year.

I’m sure if you posted that in the L2 section you’ll get loads of unwarranted bollocks, but it’s obviously true.

Yes, I mean I look at Vale being top and reckon we would walk it this year

Well that was shit, at least a 1-0 win shit.

Stevenage as a place, a ground, as a set of fans are so conference it’s unreal.

It was largely a second string side, Waine and Ben Quinn upfront was a weird decision that didn’t work.

Think Waine should go back January to be honest, not good enough for me.

Argyle could do with all the help they need at the minute, so keep him.

VAR would have had a field day if it was in use.

The penalty you missed could have been re-taken for encroachment tbh and the offside call was close when your number 20 maybe touch the ball in?

The lasher's getting turned over by Birmingham's second string in front of 3,000 home fans. Lovely stuff.

Obviously their year.

Yeah waine will almost certainly go back.

It’s a shame as he’s clearly a likeable lad and tries his best, he certainly won’t get anything from plymouth at the end of the season so will be interesting to see where he works out.

For me he’s a lower end league 2/conference player.

Again a shame, as i’ve seen so many technically better footballers than him who’d do well to have his attitude and graft.

Blackpool 1-2 Blues, comfortable win, 10 changes and pleased Leonard and Dykes got a run out.

I watched a little bit of the Wealdstone game, and thought the free kick for the opener was goal of the round (without seeing any others so can't really judge), a superb free kick into the top corner, just clipping the bar on the way in.

So I make it that we’ve half the division left - draw this evening. Guessing quite a limited league programme the weekend of 11th also.
