Bloody good result for us v Bury yesterday; it’ll be surprising if they don’t join the rest of you in L1 next year.

Now we have a pop at managers having a go at budgets; Jonesy in his interview yesterday said that Bury “had a Championship budget”, which I thought was a bit OTT. Just thought I’d mention it if Luton fans get accused of hypocrisy again...

I'm guessing he had time to sit down and look at our accounts before the game then? Yes we have a high wage bill but a Championship wage bill? You do realise a low wage bill In that league is probably about 6 million if you believe we are paying that then you will believe anything.

Nathan Jones is well know for talking absolute bollocks though, I’d rank him alongside Russell Slade and Sol Campbell on the talking shit scale.

Barry Conlon is useful for weeding out johnny-come-lately, bandwagon jumping Man City fans. His name still sends shivers down the spine of those who were there at the time.

To be fair to the lad, he was probably never bad enough to play for Rochdale in the mid-nineties!

We've got Cardiff at home which is a bit meh, but could have been worse

Very winnable as sure they Will rest a few would also be good to get one over on Warnock, and the return of Ronnie Jepson

Conlon spent most of his time here pissed up, and by a bizarre coincidence we were relegated to non league at the end of that season.

Blackpool fans will love their game to be on TV if they win the replay - as they will want to boycott the game in protest against their owners and would get national exposure.

We've got Ipswich at home in the 3rd round. Some of their fans have been on our Facebook page congratulating us on reaching Round 4 - surely they're not that crap?

Interestingly they bought two of our players last summer (Jackson and Donacien) to add a bit of interest to the tie.

Should we beat Walsall at the 3rd attempt we get Bolton away. Hardly an inspiring tie but would be nice to test the current squad against a lower Championship side.

Not for me, Bucket. Too many parallels to 2010, with the roles reversed!

Ha, I know what you mean but I'd take any chance to come up against them!

But here we are, we've got a pretty horrible draw against Norwich instead. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we can make a game out of it with the way they've been playing!

Yes, not a nice draw. The only saving grace is that Norwich may see the cup as an unnecessary distraction, and rest a load of players. Time will tell, I suppose.

I'd have thought it was a great draw. Chance to see where you are against the current best in the League you're prob heading towards. Big stadium, decent crowd, prob not played there in a while. They have lost more home games than anyone close to them and will have the expectancy and pressure to win. You're a team built on solid defense and counter. Perfect

I like our draw at Sheff Weds a lot too. We're not looking as likely headed to that league just yet. But a good chance to play in a great stadium again and see what we've got compared to a side from the next level up.

Yes, I'm warming to it. Generally, when you look at the 3rd round draw the cliche is that you either want a big Prem League team for the cash or an easy home draw against a team below you with the chance of progression. This will be a good test to see how we get on.

I can definitely see this perspective to be fair. It’ll be very interesting to see how we go

Kick offs being moved all over the place. At least we’re getting £50k into the back pocket this time rather than sixpence.

We're not on telly, which considering the amount of games that are is a bit peculiar.

Even more so when you're playing a Premier league side at home who might rest players with the relegation battle in mind.

Nah, I'd rather watch Millwall vs Hull. Magic of the cup and all that

...We signed a keeper from Cardiff, Ben Wilson, he has his own bloopers video on YouTube from previous seasons...
Wrote this in a different thread a few weeks ago, home debut tonight and he’s been lobbed already by Ivan Toney from almost the half way line :ffs:
