Broadhead is a quality addition.

George Hirst wishes he was half as good as his dad.

Yeah I’m absolutely delighted with Broadhead on a permanent. Proper bit of business that for a league 1 side.

A memorable day for Fleetwood Town as they reach the 4th round for the first time ever. They did so with a superb performance , every player on top of their game. Excellent defending when called for, incisive in attack and thoroughly deserved. Exciting times for a football club that is certainly going forward on and off the field

Nervy last few. I'd rather lose than have a replay

Well done Sheffield Wednesday , love the premier league teams coming unstuck after disrespecting the L1 team and dropping 8 players , pleased for Barrieowl , best memories of Bolton were in 94 beating Everton Arsenal and Villa in the FA Cup when everyone used to play their best teams

Got to mean some players out though
Had a lot of injuries of late. Was 7 players out a few weeks back with injury. Reckon we will let 1 or 2 go out on loan but bring in 4.

Those 2 plus Luongo yesterday and Whittaker (hopefully) next week and it’s been a belter of a transfer window. Though I know along with Whittaker we also have shown interest in a winger at wolves and the palace midfielder Rak-Siu.

Best memory I have is beating our biggest rivals at Wembley in a semi final.

Bolton mid 90s had some reyt results, John McGinley sticks in my memory

Think Wednesday thoroughly deserved that. Both sides looked good. Newcastle played well second half despite the result

Congrats in particular to Wednesday on a superb win and Fleetwood also for their win to reach the fourth round for the first time. Also impressive win for Ipswich too.

Your win got a mention pre game though they tried claiming Ironside was a boyhood Jawdee fan.

Yeah he was born in Middlesbrough so that can’t be true. “Idolised” Shearer though so make of that what you will.

But fuck it, it’s your day. Enjoy the win.

Very good game at hillsborough. Fuck me though Newcastle missed some chances. Shocking finishing. Windass was class. Deserved to win for the sheer endeavour and hard work. Well done.

Won’t talk about our abject loss. I am trying to keep my heart rate under 100. We are fucked royally this season.

Wonderful win Wednesday. All Rovers fans were rooting for you. Brings back memories for me when you had Quixall, Megson, Fantham, Dobson , Mobley & Springett.

Don't quote me here but Quixall didn't play alongside Meggo or Mobley, he was Man Yoos first signing after Munich in 58.

Heard some great anecdotes about the side around then, winning 7-2 at Old Trafford in the Fa Cup. Finishing 2nd to Spurs.

Speaking of those times it is 30 years ago this week when we beat Liverpool at Anfield in one of those cup runs, Worth a watch this., the next round was Wolves away and was the first time (but not the last) that i ever heard the Super John Mcginley chant. Makes me feel old.

The goalie for Man Utd that night when they lost 7-2 was Ronnie Briggs, don't think he ever played for the 1st team again. Albert Quixhall, golden boy of football at that time, signed for £45k, had a breakdown later on when at OT

Had a good craic at Spurs. Theyve got a fantastic ground but no atmosphere. I preferred the old WHL.
I got to mention our support. 12;30 KO no trains but managed to take nearly 9k..

Reyt turn out but expected being a new ground. If we get past Fleetwood it's midweek and nailed on we get a reyt draw

Great to see plucky non leaguers like Wrexham, Boreham Wood, Chesterfield and Grimsby all do so well. The magic of the cup eh.
