Shit!
I had tried to erase every little detail of Brackley from my memory.

Supporting the Gills really is like a fucking recurring nightmare.

I want to get off.

I went there last time, I had no excuse, it's only 40 miles away.

It was awful, really awful. Cold, drizzly, and the Gills fans stood on the hard-standing, bunched around the railings at one end as we had been denied use of the three-step "terrace" for reasons best known to the home club. Their goal greeted by a flare in the home end and a shuffling of feet and disconsolate acceptance among the travelling fans. David James coming onto the pitch at half time as a TV pundit in a bizarre Ushanka, which is ironic as that perfectly described the finishing from our strikers. Not one to remember, but not as craptacular as Burscough away, that was my nadir as a Gills fan, absolutely atrocious in every respect.

I'm pretty sure I heard Paul Ince refer to Millwall v Southend as a London derby last night, which is a bit peculiar.

Crawley away ffs, does it get any more dull than that?

went that last season and we lost 2-1, they barely celebrated after scoring apart from some belter with a bell. no highlights that i remember post some beers in London on the way back even that's not enough to make me go back....

The two over-riding memories I have of Crawley are firstly, that prat with the bell, and secondly that they played the 'Checkatrade jingle' when they scored. They'll be back in non-league before too long I'd wager.

I have nightmares too LW, it was the very first game my local pub showed on their newly installed BT Sport. Thank God the boozer was practically empty.

Eastleigh guaranteed to join the fairly recent list of non league teams to turn us over along with Stevenage, Macclesfield and my favourite, Histon.

Sorry Bolton fans you will not share my sentiments but I am fucking delighted with that draw. Big League 1 team with a big away end, buzzing! :gr: :brill:
Some happy memories in regards to Grimsby and a day out in cleethorpes in the 80's

Didn't Crawley do you as well when they were in the Conference when they had that fat obnoxious grotesque tax evading cretin Steve Evans in charge?

We've had Dover, Brackley and Burscough in recent times, with Brackley getting a second chance to do it!

Were you at this game?
One of my first Grimsby Town memories an end to end 3 - 3 draw and i remember being staggered at how packed the Bolton end was, of course standing back in those days now our away end only holds 2000 but pretty certain there were a lot more than 2000 Bolton fans there in this game!

Southport away which is a terrific local fixture for us against a big rival in non league and still a rival, Port fans shouldnt think otherwise.

We desperately want to win this and get one over on them, Liam Watson is back there in some capacity and he certainly stoked the fires between clubs during his spell as manager.

Weve had some torrid days at Haigh Avenue and some wonderful memories including a Vardy demolition over there, 6-0 with10 men for 70 mins.

I've never been to the Reebok but I've been to Burnden Park once when I was a kid, funnily enough that was also a 3 - 3 draw!

Be surprised if Constable even tries to score against you. He's a big fan, I heard.

Where do you think Eastleigh is...?

Sorry I should have been clearer. I live in London and everytime we are on TV we meet up to watch the game with fellow Town fans and have a few beers.

I am well aware Eastleigh is somewhere near Southampton. Had it been a Saturday 3pm game I probably would have gone as its quite easy from Waterloo.

Moved the kick off for a bonfire??!!
I realise that it was probably at the request of the local plod, but still.
To move a FA Cup tie because of a local bonfire really is the epitome of tinpot.

Taken from the Rovers Website:
Our Emirates FA Cup First Round tie against Crawley Town will be played on Saturday 5th November, kick off 12 noon.

Sussex Police and the safety authorities have requested an earlier kick off because of their commitments elsewhere in the county that day, in particular Lewes Bonfire.

Crawley have decided to reduce prices for this fixture, which is an all pay game.

Seats will cost £15, terrace admission is £10. Concessions (65+ and U-18s) pay £5, U-16s £4 and U-11s £1.

Obviously anticipating a bigger crowd at the Lewes bonfire than Crawley's cup match.
They will be moving their league games next if they clash with the Haywards Heath bring and buy sale.
