That's an extremely narrow group of people you're hoping for there. There is a Solihull Motors fan on here...question is though, did Solihull Mooron go to Yeovil?

Technically he was eligible to play, no? Just an agreement between the two clubs that he can't play rather than not being eligible.

I don't know the rules around it myself, so I could be wrong.

If he had permission to play in the first game why didn't he? If Orient said he couldn't play in the first game, then he's ineligible for the replay.

He didn't have permission to play, but I'm not sure how he's 'ineligible' as far as the FA are concerned.

If the parent club deny a loan player permission to play to stop them becoming cup-tied, then they have to register that with the FA so making him ineligible. The parent club can change that permission at any time, but it won't be effective until the next competition round. Simple.

What if the parent club is knocked out before the players loan club play their first game and the parent club contact the FA to tell them they've changed their mind? Is that allowed?

Got me there. Ask the FA would be my answer.

EDIT:- From the Competition rules.

(j) Temporary (loan) Transfers

(i) A player on a temporary (loan) transfer is ineligible to compete in the Challenge Cup

Competition unless permission to do so is given by the lending Club in writing and a

copy is received by The Association by 12 noon on the Friday prior to the date fixed

for playing the Round. Any permissions must clearly state that the player has

approval to play in The FA Challenge Cup Competition. A registered Trainee or a

player who is registered on a Scholarship for work experience may play for another

Club, subject to written permission being given by the Club that he is registered to

and provided that such permission is received by The Association by 12 noon on the

Friday prior to the date fixed for playing the Round. The Association will not give

permission for players on loan or work experience to play against the lending Club.

(ii) A player recalled, at any time prior to the date of the Round, to his original Club from

temporary (loan) transfer, in accordance with the terms of the loan agreement, may

represent his original Club. Such player may only play in postponed and replayed

matches if he had been recalled in time for the first match in accordance with subparagraph

(i) above and (iii) below as applicable.

(iii) A player on temporary (loan) transfer is eligible to compete if transferred by the

lending Club to the loaning Club after the date and time for player qualification for a

round but must have been eligible to play in the original tie.

(iv) Players on season “long term loan agreements”, are not considered “loan” players for

the purposes of the Rule, and are therefore eligible to play in the Competition.

So no, he wouldn't be allowed to play.

So the Barrow player celebrated scoring by nutting the keeper.

Nice to see a player come up with a new way to celebrate, too many shit copycat cele's out there. Good for him. And shame on the ref for trying to take the fun out of football.

Borehamwood will be disappointed not to hold on against Notts County but still get a replay.

Sounds like a good game at St Albans.

Get in Dale.

Great scenes at the end. Quite funny walking back towards town listening to the Stones moaning. Such a sense of entitlement this lot!

Sickener. I think Rochdale scored with their first shot on target in the 94th minute. Mostly a result of our rash/naive defending to concede a string of late free kicks and put ourselves under pressure, but I think the one they scored from was incredibly harsh.

Didn't realise Westley was in at Newport until I saw him on the BBC coverage, now I'm a little sad that Stamford have gone out and we couldn't have an angry dwarf named Graham derby between Westley's Newport and Drury's Stamford.

I knew there was at least one. Wasn't sure though because if you remember we went up last season and no longer play football in this division.

Haha, I have been considering getting both a Twitter and a Snapchat account recently.
