^ That sig image is utterly ridiculous

I think I could have, Braintree is a difficult place to go.

Well quite.

Pound for pound, Braintree have one of the best defensive records in level 2-5. The place has one of the worst excuses of a pitch you'll ever see, and it's a rather unpleasant place to go (unless you want a few pairs of bargain trainers at Freeport).

I'm more surprised there wasn't an upset there in all honesty.

It is a bit too much to be fair. I will take it down after remembrance day.
Us Bristol City fans are enjoying the Chesham win....

Can see Rovers in trouble if they don't get their home form sorted. Winning away will eventually dry up. Clarke surely must be feeling the pressure as the majority of Bristol fans see them lose every other week.
Bizarre record they have seems ridiculous that you can be so Crap at home

Well we're the next side to rock up to the Mem... I wonder if we'll face some sort of a backlash

Its very odd. I keep telling myself that just as our away form can't keep up, our home form can't stay this awful.

I think reinforcements are needed to be honest, some new life into the team. It's not as if we're specifically bad at home either, just stuck in a rut at the moment. Today was hopefully the worst of it.

I don't think there's a huge pressure on Clarke whilst we're 12th. However its very reminiscence of 2013-14 where we could only win at home. We stopped winning at home and got dragged into it. Same could easily happen here if we don't sort it out.

Bristol City vs Bristol Rovers rivalry died in 1982.
Nice try.
It's alive and well thankyou. My posts are a light hearted piss take as the gas posters will totally understand, and expect, but the rivalry is still pretty feisty, from both sides.
We can have a bit of banter on here but there are still elements of both support that cannot. Luckily, the fans of both clubs on these forums are good blokes.
Please excuse the interruption but we couldn't let this one pass without commenting, as the gas fans would expect to be fair to them.

I think I could have, Braintree is a difficult place to go. Like Altrincham, they specialise in beating the 'big sides' that visit.

Chesham on the other hand don't quite have the same reputation.
I remember when we lost to Braintree away last season, our fan base went into meltdown. Until we found out that pretty much every relegated team/big club loses to Braintree away, its tradition. They're actually a good side tbf, to this day, they are still the best team I've seen play at the mem in a couple of years. They were unlucky to lose that game 2-1. The fact they got applauded off at full time says something

Notts, Bury and Bradford must get knocked out in the first round on a pretty regular basis.

Wouldn't have put it past Barnsley, the Sheffield Clubs, Blackpool, Charlton, Coventry, Leeds or MK Dons either.

That was my thought, well they handed the physical artifacts of Wimbledon FC back to the London Borough of Merton, I'm not clear on why AFC Wimbledon couldn't have them... and a check of their official website confirms they make no claim to have existed at all before 2004. They (unsurprisingly) don't bother to have the page on club history that most clubs have on their website, but I took this from Dean Lewington's profile who they describe as having played for them since their foundation in 2004.

:2thumb:

Aye of course, obvious banter is obvious, but the Borough of Merton has probably never been knocked out in the first round.

If the whole idea was returning the honours meant forgiving MK Dons, then it clearly has't worked for most people :animatedf:

On that note, if AFC Wimbledon do count as FA Cup winners, then they've probably been one of the first winners since victorian times to not make the first round.

Part of the agreement to return the honours and relinquish any claim to the history was that the artifacts had to go to the London Borough of Merton, not us. We are allowed to borrow them though.

Anyone can write a blog these days it seems. This is a work of art this article:
http://www.crawleynews.co.uk/FAN-S-...Crawley-Town/story-28146821-detail/story.html
If that was a blog, I'd think fair enough; pretty tame compared to some of our bloggers/posters, let alone Barcaluton Outlaws ;-) But it's a piece in their local rag written by the head honcho of their supporters trust/association/whatever they call themselves now. How very professional ... not. Then again, it's Crawley we're talking about, should we really be surprised?

I can't see Newport vs Brackley going ahead either.
