I'm feeling like I'm back in Geography class. With a bit of history thrown in for good measure.

All because Carlisle have been awarded a bye/were drawn against the weakest side left in the competition.

A 5-0 win proves my point. I'm a modest guy, but I feel that the BBC should ask me to sit on one of their panels and introduce me as, ahem, one of their football experts.

They weren't actually that bad, just we were really clinical. We scored most of our good chances, hitting the post once and not missing any real sitters that I can remember. Really hope Welling stay up after the two gestures they made to help flood victims.

Did everyone go on about little old Whitehawk who only get 300 crowds and forget to mention they're bankrolled and pay silly wages, with players in their squad that probably have more FL experience than Dagenham?

Sam Deering, Sergio Torres, Scott Neilson? Ridiculous for Conference South.

...Dean Leacock, Jake Robinson, David Martin and Arnaud Mendy.

All on £200/week if you believed the BBC!

Leacock was training with us and then went for Whitehawk instead, no chance would we have offered him less than £200/week and they must have matched or beaten our offer for him to go there.

We didn't make him an offer I don't think, it was looking highly likely we would but then I think the signing of Gillesphey was the reason we decided not to sign him. Curle said we'd keep an eye on him but since then we've also signed Ellis and Atkinson has returned on good form.

We didn't offer him anything. Curle told him to go and play non league to get games under his belt and then we may revisit the situation later on.

I would assume at the time, given our defence was doing horrifically badly, we would've taken him on at the end of the trial had he not gone elsewhere. He did prefer a move to the south I gather but still, their offer must've been good to make him stop training with us and disregard a potential league move. Curle said at the time that he'd let him go but it would be very strange to pick him out for a month or so long trial and then tell him he isn't fit enough.

We let him go shortly after signing Gillesphey. He'd been working on his fitness over the month he was with us, and had we not signed Gillesphey then I imagine Leacock was just a week or two away from being offered a short-term contract.

The point is that there's no way he's only on £200 p/w at "plucky little" Whitehawk.

I think Whitehawk's manager is a bit of a dick head.

Every time he refers to the past it's all should have this and should have that.
We have a replay with Dagenham, we should have won the game. We should have beaten Lincoln by 10. I went to Wigan and lost a few years ago but should have won the game. We should have won the league as well that season, and we should have won the FA Cup. I should be managing in the champions league by now.

Fuck off, bell end.

He, apparently, generally manages at bankrolled Clubs and leaves them in the shit (see Macc the other season).

Oh he's definitely in the Westley League for dickheads.
Also, did you see what he was wearing during the match. A polo neck, jacket and white trousers combo - made him look like a spiv updated from the Brighton Rock era.

So, Hartlepool and Orient attempt to make R3 tonight, with the Daggers 'enjoying' their own replay in Sussex on Wednesday. Derby, Chelsea and Everton await in the next round, though I suspect only the former are going to meet League Two opposition...

I'm a Poolie tonight and a Dagger tomorrow. Hope both teams finally do the business.
Ooops, Orient playing as well. Good luck to them too.

Salford should be winning this, had all the play and practically all the half decent chances.

Hartlepool have embarrassed themselves tonight, even if they do end up scraping through.

None of them can tackle, none of them can pass, no movement off the ball, no forward runs. Woeful team Moore has put together here. No wonder Pompey stuffed them last week.

Ronnie Moore is an embarrassment, I'd sack him now.

The team is shite, his tactics are shite, there's no redeeming features of this side at all.

If pools hold on to this then they can thank Carson. Hartlepool have been utterly shit and do not deserve it. Although I will be pleased to see the end of the Salford wankfest.

Most of Salford's shots have been from 20-30 yards out.
