I'm so jealous of United for having Martial. He is the new Henry. Incredible. Fellaini is my motm though.

I'm not sure if that's funny or tragic. I'll go for a bit of both. Any other team bar United and I'd be laughing my ass off.

Sums up Everton to a tee - very good in attacking positions but missing chances and then lapse at the back.

Nah mate, LVG wants locking up in the funny farm for starting Fellaini, just ask Scruff. Never mind the goal he scored, or the second he should have had when Jagielka handballed it, or the goal saving tackle on Lukaku....

What a terrible performance by Everton. Stones, Barkley and Lukaku were awful.

United deserved it, but Everton could and possibly should have won it with all the chances they had.

How shit is lukaku though. Nothing Martinez could do about it. Everton fans seem to think too highly of their players imo. Just a poor mans Drogba.

He's quality and still only twenty-two. Not his best day at the office today, though.

Decent cup tie for the neutral but the perfect example of what happens when you don't take your chances. Everton had much of the better chances, especially in the 2nd half, but Lukaku was poor as were the supporting midfield players when it came to threatening the Utd goal.

You mean where he had given the ball away 60 yards further up field and jogged back to mistime his challenge for it to bounce off his knee? yeah That one

My glass is half full.

Your glass is half empty, on your coffee table, while your team was at Wembley. Poor do mate.

But he always seems to go missing or play poorly during big games, bit like Ozil.

I agree, but considering United will be all in for a final price of £61mil/78mil euros he should be tbf.

Money well spent.

His influence will be invaluable.

He did that in the last round of this competition. He's great, just an off day, Everton collectively have been woeful for the past month.

Performance based price though innit. Smart deal on both ends really given the talent and age.

The game completely swung on a poor decision from the ref, followed by a second if worse. Two penalty decisions and he got both wrong.

But it should of mattered, if lingard could finish it of been 3 at half time. Same could be said for Lukkaku, but Everton didn't start until the penalty and people seem to forget the bucket load of chances United missed first half and early second.

Still right result and a trip back to wembley to come. Martial will be some player, and the movement of the front three is great, just need to sharpen up the finishing.

Herrera...takes taking one for the team to a whole new level, why clip him when i can rugby tackle him....still assist for the winner.

What a feeling, can't remember the last time a goal felt that good.

Both teams had great chances (although I agree with Kyle Hatch, we had the lions share and should've killed the game before half time), thankfully one of our best ones fell to our best player in the last minute and he didn't shy away. I cannot speak highly enough of Martial, he has the skill to go past anyone and more often than not has the composure and awareness to create a chance for himself or someone else. Can't believe he's only 20.

It was good to see Herrera come on and have a say, that assist sums in him, never say die, tenacious as fuck and then makes the right pass. And kudos to Fellaini, he'll never be a fans favourite here but he has had some great moments for us and he's been integral to this FA cup campaign, that block on Lukaku at 1-1 was Smalling-esque.

United winning the FA Cup wouldn't be all bad as it would inevitably increase the chances of them being lumbered for another year of dour, insipid shit. There is a good reason United fans are the only people who don't want Van Gaal to stay.

Winning the FA Cup would be great but it wouldn't save van Gaal's job alone. It wouldn't surprise me if the deal for Mourinho was already wrapped up, but only a top four finish would give van Gaal a chance of keeping his job.

I agree that his job doesn't hinge on it, but I do believe it could make a big difference.

Highly doubt it. Even a top 4 finish (which I think is unlikely) might count for nothing, last season it was sort of a barometer of progress, this season we should've been fighting for the title.

Once again Dessy misses the point entirely in his haste to score cheap points.

The whole point was that playing two players who aren't in any sense traditional midfielders with along with a 35 year old wasn't the best of strategy's. Both had good games but in that 20 or so minutes when Everton cut through us at will you saw why it could so easily have gone wrong.

Why am I responding to this wum again, off you go on ignore again.

You're missing the point actually. I don't think you understand what being a football supporter is. FA Cup semi final day and you're more interested in coming on here to tell everyone how wrong LVG has picked the team. Even more laughable when Fellaini had an excellent game and every pundit going was oozing over Rooney's first half showing before his legs went due to lack of fitness.

There's an old quote that goes something like "if you can't support us when we lose, don't support us when we win." You might want to consider it.
