There is not a single person in the country that is even remotely interested in watching Man Utd vs Reading ffs.

Give me something like West Ham vs Birmingham over that any day of the week.

Yeah, I should have said “there is not a single genuine fan of football or the FA cup in this country that is even remotely interested in watching Man Utd vs Reading ffs”

That's more like it, last choice was always between them or Chelsea, personally I believe it should have been Chelsea as they are the holders against a pretty famous club but viewing figures talks, it's a business. At least all the other 4 got on what should have, wolves v lpool I'd dull now it's all prem.

Yeah, Chelsea/Forest will be far more entertaining for a neutral I would have thought if Forest go and give it a good go like Derby did in the League Cup.

They moved our game to a Monday night, we play Liverpool at home on TV on Friday 21st December which makes the decision even more ridiculous.

Our game with the Spammers has been made a 12.30 KO which spoils it a little bit for the masses. I, on the other hand, have absolutely no issues with drinking cans on the train at 7am so it’s fine by me, £15 adult £5 kids helps too.

What’s the craic then? They trying to push the FA cup stateside? Asia?

Money and exposure.

Give it time and the cup final itself will be abroad or at least the semis.

Mind you some of those games would hardly appeal to even the most loyal football fan here!

Luton at home is a winnable draw for us but just as possible to lose it. Why the fuck are we playing them at 12:30 though?

See above - for overseas TV.

Feel sorry for the Luton fans - be an early start for them and they would have taken a few!

Our home tie against Swansea is free for season ticket holders. Adults £10, and kids £5. Swansea will get up to 6k if they want it.

Must be costing your owner to pay for all season ticket holders

How does that work? Would Swansea not have to agree to that with it being the FA Cup and them getting their share?

Fuck knows but we usually get a free ticket for a home cup game when we buy our season ticket. In the league cup we had two away games, but got knocked out. This is our first cup home game, so that’s why it’s free for season ticket holders.

Unbelievable, I thought the met police were better than that, sounds like a sypd job
Why? Met are as bad as the rest of them, reduce our allocation at QPR and they’re hopeless at Millwall as well. From personal experience we had 700(?) at Millwall on NYD and they held us back for ages, last year 1,850 and let us go. Bizarre police force.

Given Bolton's money issues they might want Sunderland to win their replay with Walsall given the likely difference between the number of away fans who'd probably go ..

Nice touch. Our club are doing £10 for season tickets and £15 if not. So still over half the price of a normal game which is pretty decent but not as good as yours. I will probably go now as it is only a tenner.

Do they get any of the match day revenue? If so it would make sense as have a load more people buying in the ground would help. Though, I guess it still comes down to we are the home team so we will price as we want.

Always thought it was a 50/50 split of all revenue for the FA Cup. There’s a good chance I’ve just misunderstood it all these years though.

Yeah, not saying Swansea would oppose it in anyway just wondering if they could have a say or as you say, as the home side you can still dictate the pricing like a league game.

I think Swansea are giving away 2500 tickets to season ticket holders for our fa cup clash. Good on them.

Can't see many changes for us at home to Donny. Our three signings are cup-tied, Pearson is still suspended, can't see Browne being rushed back and don't expect any shock recoveries from our injury list.

Think Woods & Fisher will be given game time and maybe one of the youngsters to give Gallagher a break.
