Shame City aren't on ITV, because despite their origins, they have some incredible youngsters in their youth team.

A forward called Thierry Ambrose, an attacking midfielder called Denzeil Boadu and a LB called Jose Angel Tasende. All look to have amazing potential, admittedly based on one showing.

FA Youth Cup - Season 2015/16 - Getting to the business end of this competition now. Several Last 32 matches still to be played, however the Quarter Final draw was made yesterday:

Last 16
1 Preston North End v Oldham Athletic or Luton Town
2 Middlesbrough v Norwich City
3 AFC Wimbledon v Manchester United or Chelsea
4 Wolverhampton Wanderers v Fulham or Reading or Metropolitan Police
5 Wigan Athletic or Derby County v Manchester City
6 Aston Villa v Blackburn Rovers
7 Coventry City or Charlton Athletic v Swansea City or Arsenal
8 Nottingham Forest v Liverpool or Cardiff City or Birmingham City

Quarter Finals
1 AFC Wimbledon or Manchester United or Chelsea v Wolverhampton Wanderers or Metropolitan Police or Fulham or Reading
2 Aston Villa or Blackburn Rovers v Preston North End or Oldham Athletic or Luton Town
3 Wigan Athletic or Derby County or Manchester City v Middlesbrough or Norwich City
4 Coventry City or Charlton Athletic or Swansea City or Arsenal v Nottingham Forest or Birmingham City or Liverpool or Cardiff City
All matches from this point onwards played at the 1st Team's stadium.

From a personal point of view, I think we've got a hell of a chance of getting through our section into the quarter finals. Luton have already won the SE section of the FL Youth Alliance, losing 1 game all season and with a +43 GD this season in 18 games in the league, including a 25-30 game unbeaten run dating back to last season at the start of the year. Preston and Oldham are the same level as us and are in the bottom halves of their respective regions.

AFC Wimbledon have beaten both us and Newcastle.

You'd fancy Chelsea/Man C to come through again?

So if we get through Fulham (who have been very good in this competition recently) than we'll probably draw Chelsea. Chelsea who are the only team above us in the U18 league.

Though the top academies tend to put all their focus on the Youth Cup, so often do better in this competition than the league.

Won 3-1 at Fulham tonight. Sounded like a decent performance. We play Met Police or Wolves away in the next round.

When are you due to play Oldham?

I think its this weekend. Luton U18s played (and won) again today opening up a 14 point gap in their victorious league campaign, after just about 20 games, outlining their dominance this season.

Sancho is quality but I'm guessing a bit young for this.

There should be no players from outside the UK in a club's U18 side.

Why the UK? What does Scotland or Northern Ireland have to do with the Premier League?
Technically, England is not an independent country, so it would be against the law to prevent someone playing based on nationality. For that matter, based on current EU law, you couldn't do so for other European countries either.

Already sold over 1600 tickets for our tie with Chelsea Be great for our boys to play in front of a big crowd, we took over 150 up to Newcastle in the last round.

Through to the quarterfinals after winning 3-0 at Molineux tonight.

Chelsea/Wimbledon in the next round. Chelsea are the only team above us in the Premier League South section, though we did beat them 2-0 a couple of weeks ago.

Crowd of over 2500 for Wimbledon v Chelsea.
1-1 half time, making Chelsea look quite ordinary at times.

4-1 Chelsea full time. Right result but scireline flattered them a little.
Our boys didn't disgrace themselves and will have learnt enormously from their cup run this season.
No shame in losing to the best in Europe.

Blackburn Rovers beat Luton Town 1-0 on Tuesday night. A great effort by the Category 3 side, winning 5 matches getting to that stage and more than matched a Top 10 academy in the country. And you wouldn't put it past them to do it again next season, as a lot of that team are 1st year scholars; so this was almost an U17 team.

If we had our captain available (Musonda) and the U18 LB at Chelsea (da Silva), who was our player up until a few years ago, this team could've been even better.

Now its time for more of these players to come through and justify the expenditure our board are providing.

Will that get a chance for the rest of the season given your pretty much in mid table and Jones must be looking to build for next season?

He was questioned about this on Thursday - they've got to justify their places, but some have already got onto the bench even with a 30-man first team squad.
