As all you arguing "Brotherhood" etc fools are missing the point of the National league i'll give you a history lesson. The National league was formed in 1979 with the sole purpose of getting tinpot teams into the football league. The 20 original members decided between them who would go up in a given season (once automatic promotion was gained) and the only people that can vote are members of that original 20 who remain in the division. At present that means Barrow, Barnet and Maidstone. Neither of these 3 can at present be voted in - Maidstone and Barnet as they have already been voted in before and failed miserably, and Barrow as we have not completed our 50 year exclusion for having a speedway track round the pitch in 1971-72.
Maidstone and Barnet have also lost their voting rights by going into the league meaning Barrow make the decision on who goes up.
We will not vote for Ex-league clubs until they have served a 10 year sentence here in this league....
We will still not vote for Wrexham even after 10 years as they are just Welsh Chester fans in disguise.
We have decided to let Fylde go up this year - but only as long as they revert to Kirkham and Weston FC (however its spelt) as it sounds more tinpot than Fylde. They will be joined by the winners of the Solihull v Boreham Wood play off final (attendance 422) as no-one outside of either place knows where it is.

IIRC Gravesend are an original Alliance Premier side too, despite renaming themselves after a train station.

missed that one... they can vote too - but can't go up because of having been named after a train station....

Not sure I'm getting this correctly, but the likes of Telford, Alty, Nuneaton and Boston will leapfrog the so called 'proper' (lol) clubs to a place in the FL if or when they come up?

The brotherhood needs to act, and act now me thinks.Even Bangor City can potentially become a FL club in the not so distant future! Bangor City for gawds sakes!

Surely after spending 10+ years in non league, Wrexham & Halifax should be kicked out the brotherhood & be classed as a fully fledged non league sides ;)

Wrexham and Halifax cling on to this imaginary meaningful status as that’s all they’ve got left.
In truth, they’re now as crap as the rest of us!

I can't decide what is more embarrassing. Chipmunx's post or this picture from our pleasant trip to Holker Street in 2016:

You know the rules. If we stay in this league for more than 87 years then we become an historical tinpotter. Until such time, we are in the Brotherhood and a Proper Club.

if or when Wrexham get kicked out of the brotherhood they have to join the league of Wales... and even I wouldn't wish that on them...

Telford, Alty and Nuneaton yes
Boston - no - they are covered by the same rule as Barnet and Maidstone.
Bangor City - no - once they have joined the LOW we're rid of them for good - even if they get kicked out...
Wealdstone - despite being the dirtiest team in the history of the original league still get a yes too

I dont want Maidstone to go up...ever.

Avoiding relegation would be nice, even just to avoid gloating from the Kentish tinpot sisterhood.

You're less tinpot that Morecambe tbf. I'll give you that.

I could accept Maidstone in the FL over Fylde, Boreham Wood or Salford.

Maidstone have an evil plastic pitch. As bad as Salford for me. Sickening.

FYI, as I stated on another thread yesterday, the members are set in stone, none can leave, none may join. No member may become Tin Pot, no Tin Potter can ever become a member.

10 years or a hundred years, the return to our natural home is only a matter of time.

I make the rules. Ours is an eternal brotherhood. Members will be members till the Earth falls into the Sun, the Sun collapses in upon itself, forms a black hole through which a new Universe may be accessed, & where The Brotherhood are all back in the Football League and no decision is ever made to introduce automatic relegation for the bottom clubs and we can all live happily ever after. :ds:

Brotherhood preview:

In a week characterised by bitter infighting, personal abuse and arguments over who's in the hood and who is not (it's such a desirable organisation), the 'dial a brother' 0800929292 line has gone into overdrive. This week we've dealt with handbags between Chesterfield and Hartlepool, the usual B2TF and Master D debate, E10's personal crisis dealing with a cheer leading pom pom addiction and Soup Ladle with his alleged vanity complex. So it's time for a change of scene and focus on the football as members aspire for points towards achieving a place in their natural order inspired 'BROTHERHOOD Proper Club Football League'.

Quiet a dull set of fixtures today but here goes. Our first game is the Martin Allen derby. Obviously going to be a home win. The 100 away fans are going in suicide belts, ready to activate after yet another depressing defeat. John Still ALWAYS wins through in the end, and once more he'll be the last man standing at full time.

Pools go to Daggers hoping to justify the seemingly large budget Raj 'desperate for salvation' Singh has provided. With the squad they have, mid table is likely not good enough and will be looking for a clinical edge against the cash strapped Dagenham. 2-1 away win but not confident.

Orient go to Pools' bitter arch rivals Gateshead, who are doing well now they're part time. Score draw.

Wrexham have Bromley at home. Bromley aren't as strong as last season and Wrexham are here to say forever so what's the point? Just cancel the game. I say this for the benefit of our Welsh brothers who are destined to get 115 points and still not go up.

Elsewhere, Stockport are at home to DSL Town looking to pick up 3 proper club points against a resurgent Alfreton. York play Brackley and have had a good week getting rid of Martin Gray and getting Sam Collins as caretaker. Collins was at Pools for years and years and was mediocre for a large part of it. All his time here might explain why he looks 55 but is actually only 41. He did alright as caretaker here and is a decent bloke (although his missus might disagree).

Torquay's mediocrity is legendary and they have a home game, playing two teams in one go, Hampton and Richmond. Why are the non league so anti Brotherhood? One for the European Court of Proper Club rights to look at methinks.

In other news, FC Halifax, with their superstar signing Joe Scarz, are away at Boring Wood.
