Wood: 4 goals in three matches
Barkhuizen: 5 goals, 1 assist in four matches
Flint: 2 goals, 3 clean sheets in four matches
Freeman: 1 goal and 1 assist in four matches

Can't see past Barkhuizen more goals/assists than anyone else in his first four starts for the club

Surprised Freeman made it in - admittedly won't be as close to City's matches as others but seen some really good performances this month.

Aden Flint?
Yeah, he had a brilliant month. He's been a rock all season, him and Abraham are the only two that have consistently nailed down a space in the side.

Well deserved, looks a class act.

Stupidly quick, calm finisher, doesn't get knocked off the ball, unselfish...

Too early to proclaim him as some multi-million pound striker as we will have to see what happens when he hits a run of bad form but the early signs are really, really good.

He's not been a rock, just the fact he's not been as bad as some of the others doesn't make him a rock, would still rather see Wright and Magnusson tried as a partnership. Given how many goals we've conceded this season its astounding he hasn't been left out to try a different combination.

Yeah I wouldn't say he's been bad but it's hard to get away from the fact he's been the one constant in a defence that's been pretty poor all season, and last really.

Yes he has, he's dug us out of the shit so many times this season. The criticism of Flint absolutely baffles me, look at the state of the full backs he plays alongside, he's constantly exposed. When we go down Flint will have offers from much bigger and better clubs than Bristol City.

Over the last 2 seasons I've seen him make his fair share of mistakes and in the two seasons of us performing fairly badly and very badly he hasn't had a spell out of the side on the chance we may improve without him. Given how few chances some players have had in our side this season its baffling that he hasn't had a spell out of the team. Given its still untried in matches for all we know Magnusson and Wright could be an excellent partnership and one for a long time.

Wright and Magnusson are both shit in the air they'd get bullied by a big shithouse.

They're not. Not as good as Flint but few are.

I like Flint and you're right the FB areas and just the shape of the whole team in general are by far bigger problems, but he's not exactly faultless. Just look at the Preston goals to see that. Magnusson and Wright are also decent in their own right, I'm with hodge I wouldn't be unhappy to see that given a go at some point. Who knows, they could quite well form a better partnership.

Tbh I think you could build a good defence around any combination of those 3. If we do go down our squad will be raided, there's a lot of players capable of better than where we are.
