Yeah this is shit

And not because I'm in a bad mood, but the organisation from FGR is appalling. Huge ticket queue, barely any food still serving in the away end with the slowest moving queue I've ever known (one poor person serving all away fans). Shambles - even after all that publicity!

They probably assumed that no one would want to eat that vegan rubbish so didn't bother over staffing

So Barnet fans, on a scale from 1 to tinpot, how non-league does FGR actually feel?

The announcer is a bit shit and not a fan of the vegan propaganda on all the food stalls but otherwise it isn't the worst thing in the world.

Definitely a non-league feel though, for sure. Not a fan of parking in a field after a rainstorm.

You should have gone for the Indian food outside..
The bar for the away fans was a bit ropey though.
I'm not sure how well Nailsworth will cope with 2000 Coventry City fans..

You were. Thought the half time lead flattered us a bit. Frustrating not to hang on but you were far the better side second half.
Your passing was crisper than ours in the first half but we increased the tempo of our play in the second, mixed it up more and you couldn't handle it. For us it was encouraging as it showed that Rossi can effect a positive change to the team and we were without Akinde, Weston and Brindley.
Now having a drink at the Egypt Mill!

Enjoy your drink, lovely place, and safe trip home! Not happy at all about our second half showing if akinde was fit we would have lost.

If my maths is right that was about a thousand more home fans than our upper conference average which is encouraging. Might have seen enough to come back.

If that Indian food stall is there for the rest of the season I'd recommend that.
What's so great about burgers, hot dogs etc every week?

I would imagine that there would be several hundred doing the 92, as this was first opportunity of doing the ground in the FL.

There were definitely a few of the 92 club in attendance, there was a bloke sat a few rows in front of me with that printed on the back of his shirt, didn't see the front but it was blue and white stripes...possibly someone like Wigan or Oldham?

Before the game I chatted briefly with a group of four people from Swindon who had come just because of it being the first game, one of them said that he preferred rugby, another professed to be a Man Utd supporter of many decades and his probable wife said that she didn't even like football...go figure!

As for the football, not a bad game for the first of the season, definitely happy with a draw. We are above Cheltenham, for now at least, and at least we aren't Yeovil!

Out of interest, is it always such an absolute nightmare driving up that hill to the carpark?

I've also never, ever before had an issue on the way to a football game of having to stop driving because cows are blocking the road! Amazing.

Yep the hill is always a bottle neck in and out, was worse before the parking restrictions though.

Haha yep that's Minchinhampton common for you. The cows only move out the way when they want. People gotta wait.

That's because they are all uber chilled and know they are completely safe at the New Lawn.

Suppose some of these 92 club lot will have gone in the away end if that was a better than usual turn-out for Barnet. Anyway, if we can start to average over 2,200 home supporters (knocking off a few hundred from yesterday for casuals etc) will be really good progress.

Decent turnout from us as expected.... Proportionately we always take a decent number versus our average home attendance

You do realise Indian food is just as English as hamburgers, hot dogs and chips, right?
