This is never happening.
Mark Cooper will have an input in the design in terms of what will be required on the football side, including in all the training facilities that will be incorporated on the site, which is a good thing imo.
The players at the unveiling were very impressed, and having such high quality facilities will be a big help when it comes to attracting talent, both to the first team and to our academy.
Like it or not, we're a club going places very quickly. Skys the limit.
The players couldn't give a toss - none of them will be at the club, nor will Mark Cooper, by the time it finally gets built.
Haha if it gets built it will look fuck all like that. Such a small tin pot club. No doubt will get to the football league at some point mark my words it will end in tears.
I'd imagine that the wood would be treated so that it would be not flammable. Remember, Colchester Utd were allowed to keep their completely wooden terrace open for supporters until they left Layer Road in 2008.
it looks ok but i dont see how building a 5000 capacity stadium is feasible. i know that he wants to get in the league but what if for some reason they progress higher up the leagues?
Forest Green aside, wood is good. Some eco-warrior Vince is, more like ego-warrior! How many rain forests are going to be decimated to fulfil the blokes ego.
Wow great to hear an intelligent response, rather than all the moronic utterings of the great unwashed.Forest Green aside, wood is good.
The devil is in the detail and you need to consider all aspects of sourcing materials, construction, use and end of life but in general, for every ton of wood used in place of potential alternative materials, emissions of something like 2.1 tons of carbon (or 7.7 tons of CO2) can be avoided.
Essentially, provided the woodland is replanted after harvest, you get carbon locked up in the building (rather than naturally recycled when a tree dies or is burnt) and you get more carbon captured when the new tree grows. How much energy is used in manufacturing and delivering the engineered timber or steel stanchions can vary widely but wood can win out again there.
Haven't got a punch line.
Yeah I'm sure we asked the architect to put that scoreline in there just to wind up bitter people like yourself.View attachment 5000 Not only does the scoreboard say they are playing Nottingham Forest it also says they are beating them 1-0. I mean for fucks sake. The arrogance of it is off the fucking Richter scale. I think Glos City should change our plans to include an electronic scoreboard with us beating Bayern Munich 4 nil.
And if that wasn't bad enough another one of the designs seems to have a certain Portugese superstar footballer on the pitch..
Lost for words.
It would be interesting to hear what the original Forest Green fans think of all this, rather the likes of Chris FGR, who have just jumped on the bandwagon once the money came in.

And the picture you've posted is once again poetic licence from the designers and is of course one of the entries that was discarded, not Zaha. Thick doesn't begin to explain you.
What a total belter. Take some more prozac.
They clearly just don't care about any of that.It would be interesting to hear what the original Forest Green fans think of all this, rather the likes of Chris FGR, who have just jumped on the bandwagon once the money came in.
If the club's identity has been fading since Dale Vince arrived, then if the new ground gets built, the club will surely be unrecognisable to what it once was.
They clearly just don't care about any of that.
I'm 100% sure most people, as I do, consider Gloucester City the greater of the 2 clubs. Money can never buy respect.Just bitter cos you know Gloucester will forever be in FGR's shadow? And have been for the last 20 years.
And by the way, you and Gloucester City's fan "Tiger Roar" are 2 peas in the same pod. You must be a Gloucestershire stereotype. (Hint- that's not a compliment )
Assume. Makes an ass out of u and me. In this case u.
I've been supporting this club since I was a kid, been through all the highs and lows, winning the Southern League, 2 trophy finals and 2 FA Cup 3rd round appearances being the highlights. Seen so many shit performances I've lost count as well. Went to virtually every game at the start of the 04-05 season when we got 1 point from our first 11 games, the worst start in our history, including a convincing defeat at a terrible Leigh RMI side in a virtually empty stadium. Remember finally getting our first win (at Kingfield I'm sure you wont remember it) when Jefferson Louis netted a cracker to win it for us.
I know a lot more of the goings on at the club over the years then you'd have a clue about, I've stuck my hand in my own pocket when I could barely afford to during the Keep The Green Alive campaign, and am very proud of my clubs history. For me the likes of Trevor Horsley, Colin Peake and many others are legends for getting this club where it is today, personally I preferred those days when we were all in it together, but times change and we needed the boost Vince has brought. Do I like everything thats changed? No. But I'm not whinging on here.
Any concerns have been and will be voiced elsewhere in person to relevent people, not anonymously on some shit forum.
