Cracking win for notts, fair play and well done.

Cheers for the favour as well given our loss

Brings additional spice to the derby next week also

Yes it was all about doing you a favour today , nothing about desperately needing a win ourselves

Would of taken 4 points from the Lincoln , FGR and Stags game. So anything other than defeat is a bonus next weekend in the big L2 Nottinghamshire derby

Really looking forward to it now: was absolutely dreading it three weeks ago. The new signings and players coming back from injury have given us a big lift.

Doyle and JOB v Bish and Mellis in midfield should be a great battle, particularly the first two. Grant is bound to score though. Couple of extra misses for Stags after today? Rose (I know he doesn’t start right now but always gives us problems), and Sweeney?

Just watched Mark Coopers post match interview, what an unpleasant negative deflector he is. We had a lucky escape i think.
Glad I'm not the centre half he dug out. It was the players, the pitch, the weak ref and Notts time wasting what dun it but he was spot on apparantly.

Cooper is a decent manager but got it wrong today. Easy to say from my viewpoint I know, but for me we’ve got two central midfielders playing at full back and have conceded from crosses all season. Surely you get it wide quickly and get crosses in, don’t try and pass through O’Brien and Doyle for ninety minutes.

We were due a win and we're overdue a win against the Stags who have stuttered a bit recently.
Hope a few of you lumped on at 6/1 today might be worth a few quid on us next week too.
The spine of that team is now way stronger. Good centre half pairing, good centre mid pairing and stronger options up front.

You’re right, our form is all over the place, only 1.5 points a game from the last 6.

Not seen that but I've warmed to him after thinking he specialised in falling out with key players first couple of seasons. He's usually pretty fair in his comments, probably frustrated at our continuing shit home form.

Mystery how Notts are bottom based on that. One of the best sides we've played which shouldn't really be a surprise given their budget but still. Fucking annoying they've finally clicked just in time to play us.

We weren't great but weren't terrible either but we needed to be at our best to get anything against that lot. Notts will win a lot of games if they keep playing like that, no way are they going down.

It’s only two games but it’s great to hear about the drastic transformation in the side. As Mark Stallard said multiple times post match, you can’t get carried away with just two games , especially when you are still adrift at the bottom but we now have a fighting chance due to the chairman’s latest backing which I personally didn’t think was coming .

Naturally an injury or two to any of the key players would have a devasting effect on the side and levels of performance and would surely send us back to earlier season form .

More welcome honesty from the manager in his interview , obviously with far more positive tone now he’s got his players and character into the match day squad.

Even with expected defeat against the Stags , the atmosphere has thankfully changed in the camp

It’s actually ridiculous how I’m not confident at all considering our positions, but yeah Sweeney is suspended so unless Turner is ready for his debut we don’t have enough CBs.

Been poor the last two games too :surr:

You caught us at a bad time but it’s not a case of us finally clicking, more a good transfer window with the key issue that has dogged us all season (weak midfield) finally addressed, plus key attacking players (Boldewijn, Hemmings) back from injury so we finally have some options and can actually take the game to an opponent. And what is looking a surprisingly good loan signing at CB in Sam Stubbs (Alan’s lad). If that game had been three or four weeks ago when we lost successive matches to Cambridge and Yeovil I’ve no doubt it would have been 3 or 4-0 to FGR.

Hardy rightfully took a lot of stick for sticking the ‘game changer’ label on Boldewijn, but on his day he can be exactly that.

Who’d have thought all we needed was a competent centre midfield pairing to be competitive rather than a million central defenders

You guys
A crumb of hope thrown to bargain stag abroad, where is he anyway ? normally all over the Notts games threads, perhaps he's drowning his sorrows in the campsite swimming pool

He’s been overtaken and now left in AdamStags dust in terms of activity and number of posts on all thing NCFC . Never thought I’d type that haha

Trust me , not impossible but that is quite the feat . Please don’t encourage him mds he’s embarrassing even to Stags fans

Is there any thread on here you don’t try and ruin with your drunken ramblings? The only silver lining when you go on one of your mispelt rants is the other Notts obsessed stag goes quiet nearly every single time

I wonder why that is :shifty:

Old man, I know you pretty much post on every single thread involving Notts , even more so than you own club , but I feel you are a little lost and confused on this one !
