This weeks TOTW. IF Costa ruined my plans for the team I was gonna make for this weeks FUTChampions ;(

1 IF and you'll get it all back and more. And he's definitely getting one. Might be worth waiting til after the Internationals though to see if his price drops. Unless you think Bosnia will do Belgium over!

Looking at the OTW cards I think Pjanic and Milik are two that will get themselves a few IFs over the course of the season, but the latters price has already increased to 90kish. Gaitan is one that tempted me as he was so cheap, though he's shot from 35k to 50k now. But he's not a guaranteed starter, but with his normal card costing 20k anyway, he looks like 1 IF would make it worth it. Maybe down the line.

I'd recommend getting OTW Higuain is you have enough and Milik definitely.

So now that Bournemouth are a worldwide footballing powerhouse (!) with a detailed entry on FIFA including a lovely detailed mock up of Dean Court, I thought I should check this out.

Unfortunately I've had great fun with my graphics card and drivers version in getting this to run on my PC. Obviously I looked into the required specs before purchasing, and it seemed fine. However...

I've a Radeon HD 6800 (admittedly several years old now) which does meet and surpass the minimal spec, being a more powerful card on paper than what's quoted as the game's minimum graphics card. However because it hasn't received drivers support from AMD for a couple years now, it will not pass the AMD driver version check that FIFA 17 does upon initial startup.

The card specified as the minimum spec is a less powerful card than the Radeon HDs, however it is more recent and thus still in support and has more recent drivers available.

Thankfully it seems possible to trick your way around this (link), by oddly enough downgrading from the most recent Radeon diver to a specific slightly older version, and then modify a plain text registry entry which specifies the driver version so that it meets the check on the face of it.

Low and behold it works a treat, FIFA17 runs without any issues that I've come across so far. Performance seems fine, although obviously the detail levels are toned down. Now the only issue is my own complete ineptness at playing the damn thing

At some point I'll have to shell out for some new hardware. A new graphics card is one thing, but I wont really get the benefit of it without a better Processor / more RAM, and then I may as well just rebuild the whole bloody thing. And I hardly game enough these days / have the spare cash to justify it. :-/ First world problems and all that.

I'm just not enjoying UT, bar a little spell using 4-1-4-1 I've played shite. If I concede one I'll concede 3 or more soon after, yet I struggle to find the net.

I've made about 150k but haven't made a 'good' team yet, don't really fancy any players under 30k or so and keep buying crap budget teams.

Yeah the career mode cracks are starting to show.

Injuries talked about before happening.
The absolute wank rating system from the fans.
Lsnsdown on my case for not fielding academy kids who are 15.
The 3 relegated this year all in the top 4 but the commentor on about how they should be higher in the league.
After a great start guess what can't score let alone grab a win.
The return of the penalty in every game and cpu wonder goals.

Can't say I've had those although I'm doing my career mode with Arsenal, the issues I'm having are that the opposition almost never give away a foul and when they do its generally when it would be better to have the advantage. I'm creating a lot less chances then I used to on the same difficulty level and same length halfs, around half as many. On injuries I've had 4 shoulder injuries which occurred in about 4 games of each other and were all out for 8 weeks.
