Words cant adequately describe how I feel tonight. To finish 3rd in this league with probably the lowest budget is an incredible achievement.
The way we are playing right now we fear no one in the play offs. We have scored 3 goals in our last 3 games and anybody watching our game today knows we could have had more. Sorry to ramble on, but Im a little light headed. (Well a lot really but dont tell the missus)

Has it been a slight change in tactics recently because, without checking, it seems you've scored more in the final 10 games or so than the earlier parts of the season.

Most teams have them - looks like Wrexham's were up here today, while for us there were an abnormal amount of chavs masquerading as Barrow fans. But it's the blokes 40+ that are the worst, who probably missed the 70s football violence, but heard stories about it from their (brain dead) dads.

Glad Guiseley stopped up - one of our most local games in the division, just a straight trip down the A65. Has the ground been brought up to scratch then?
Thanks and yes the ground passed inspection at the end of March. More improvement work being done during the summer too.
Can we have Cooky please?!!!

Lowest budget? It's a good achievement but come on.

Very good performance to end our season and while our home form has let us down this season, it was our best season away from home since we won the conference in 2007-2008. Thanks also to Kidderminster for beating Southport so we could move up to the dizzy heights of 15th.

On a personal note, I managed to achieve my ambition for the season of making 46/46 league games, and its been a rollercoaster ride but come August i'll be ready to start it again.

I'm glad 'that goal' didn't have any bearing on your play off place or our survival too.

Boyes was the best striker we'd had at this level for years, but Cook is way beyond that now - not sure Adam is still a force at this level, but that would be a good partnership!

nope, lol.
according to Carlisle United's forum he's been offered £2000 a week on a 3 year deal to stay (at Barrow) or something like £1500 and a 2 year deal by a League 2 side - dunno if either figure is accurate though...

Boyes is the hardest working striker I've ever seen but his finishing has let him down this last two seasons. Except for the two games V Wrexham, he was on fire in both of those! I hope he stays and we can get the best out of him.

Also we're the first conference side to reach 500 victories after today. Will be a whole season at least to reach 501.

Good to see one of our Academy lads doing well today, got a lot of talent in our youth teams, good to be back to winning ways now though and can't wait for the long trip to Dover on Wednesday!

Our Twitter guy has said there were Halifax "fans" on the pitch after the game trying to get to both Macc fans and players. To be honest I'm quite happy they've gone down.
Erm you had your own fair share of bell ends fighting and attacking our supporters coach at your gaff.

Think you'd have to say Grimsby are underdogs, no?

One side can defend at the minute, one can't.

Ignore all the Grimsby fans, they have this weird obsession with budget talk and always forget they have one of the highest -_- , great achievement by you lot well done!!

Well, it's been a pleasure. Can honestly say I'll miss this league, although that's mostly because we've won nearly every week. Really entertaining game today, could've been more goals at both ends and Holman so so close to being outright top scorer with a chance at the end. Thought Lincoln were pretty dangerous on the break and Rhead, while not particularly mobile, won absolutely everything for them. Great to get the win in the end and finish on 101 points. Lincoln fans also seemed a decent bunch bar the 20-30 yoofs who spent the entire game embarrassing themselves. Rooting for FGR in the playoffs as it'd be nice to have a couple more El Glosicos to look forward to.

Also massive well done to Guiseley, wanted them to stay up after our trip there a few weeks ago as they were a really friendly club with some great fans.

Happy that you lot have won the league and not FGR. That 7-1 game proved exactly how good you were this season, although it also showed how bad we were before Jim Harvey!

Well, nothing like beating a Hobby Club on the final day to finish in the top half. How on earth we have managed to finish 12th, I'll never know. We didn't win FOR THREE MONTHS. I suppose those 6 points against Aldershot and the Lincoln Pantywaists helped - we finished above both. :ds:

Nice for John Goddard to get the winner before he moves into the Football League.

And now for a few things....

Now do you believe me, told you back in August were we out of here and going for Conference North Title next year. Get in!!. :woo::woo::woo::woo::woot::woot::woot:

Tally ho, old sport. Get comfortable in the Conference North thread. :woo:

If only Halifax had put as much effort in to staying up as they did to get Chris Arthur sent off at Kingfield.

I love this. You've been waiting on that for a while, haven't you?

Due to popular demand I will stick to the Conference North thread from next season.

Thank you. I'm glad the persistence of myself and others has finally paid off.

Guiseley sure know how to keep their fans in suspense/despair/elation!
What a final game of the season, absolutely fantastic. Players and fans all awaiting news from Halifax after the final whistle followed by scenes of jubilation. Incredible :D
I honestly thought we'd blown it at Boreham Wood. See you guys next season, hopefully we have learned a thing or two this season and won't be in a relegation scrap next time.

Unfortunately you haven't been punished for WHAT YOU DID to Braintree. Prepare to NEVER WIN AGAIN next season.

true - but that's actually off Carlisle's forum

So it MUST be true!1111!!!1111!!!!!111!!!

Reports read as though it sums our season up to a tee. No problem creating chances but not clinical enough while not being good enough at the back either.

And your STEWARDS attacking our fans last season! I've no idea why any animosity between the clubs has emerged, just be glad to see the back of it.

Also, that's now 9 seasons since a top half finish.

Our time down here has seen us finish 17th in our first season, then 16th, 15th, 14th and now 13th...

looking at that sequence you'll win the league in only 12 more years...

Just been announced that Mike Smith is resigning as chairman of Woking.

Thank you for your efforts Mike. In the end I think the role got away from you.

Got to get the new chairman appointment right. Pivotal for the club going forward.
