Well we didn't pay many fees last for our squad last season and still won more games that Bolton Debt Welchers did.
Break that down........We paid those fees after January
you did not get more wins than us after we brought those players in.......More fantasy from you yet again

You didn't pay any fees after January they were in the January window.

From 1st February to the end of the season we won 12 games to your 10.

First game - Fleetwood (h)
Boxing Day - Burton (a)
New Years Day - Barnsley (h)
Good Fri - Derby (a)
Easter Monday - Shrewsbury (h)
Last day - Cheltenham (a)

Called Fleetwood at home to kick off right. First away game at Exeter which is how we finished up last season.

First Game - Burton home or away
Boxing Day - Plymouth or Exeter at home
NYD - Oxford away
Good Friday - Lincoln home
Easter Monday - Plymouth or Exeter away
Last Day - Cambridge home

Called Plymouth on Boxing Day, and we've Lincoln away on Good Friday, so that wasn't a bad guess.

NYD we're away at Bristol Rovers, so Oxford was also a decent pop.

Happy with ours, the so called big clubs spread out, home first, last and Boxing Day and a couple of the more winnable fixtures first two.

We've got Derby and Barnsley, home and away, on Tuesday nights. :ffs:

Start with Exeter at home, end with Shrewsbury at home. At Burton on Boxing Day, home to Ipswich on NYD. Short trip to Plymouth on Easter Monday.

October looks an absolutely stinking month - Bolton, Charlton, Ipswich, Wednesday, Barnsley...

Looks like Sheff Wednesday at home will be a Friday night as that’s a clash with Stoke v Watford and no way will they let them go ahead the same time.

Cambridge away to start with is very decent. I don't think we'll ever play Charlton on a Saturday ever again though...

Derby on Easter Monday is a little bit naughty. All of April's aways look decent actually, Wycombe, Derby and a trip to Blackpool.

Now they’re no longer in the Premier League if I remember rightly we alternate in switching fixtures. Think it might be our turn to switch this time. I know for lower profile games they have started having both play the same day but obviously it won’t be the case with approx 3000 Wednesday fans and maybe 1500 or so Watford coming to S-O-T.

FGR start season with cracking away match against Bristol Rovers.
Short distance for the away fans to travel.
But FGR appear to have drawn short straw in that 1st and last games of season are both away.

Dont mind the Tuesday nights. Seems less midweek games than previous seasons, joy of starting a week earlier i guess, and the 2 sets of local games will help. Wont need to take time off work etc!

Fuck me. The first season that FGR were in Football League, they played Cheltenham Town FC away in one of the last games of the season.
The Cheltenham crowd were relishing the thought that they could be the team that relegated FGR back to NL.
However the game was pivotal in FGRs survival with a FGR away win.
This coming season and FGR's first in EFL1 is an almost fixture repeat with FGR playing away at Cheltenham in 3rd last game of season.
Bollocks. Lets hope any relegation issues have been resolved by then.

Incidentally with Fleetwood being our opening game they were also our last opponent when we played at this level and got relegated at their place. A look at that Vale lineup that day sends a shiver down the spine as we were utter dogshit and it amazes me we managed drag it out until the last day. Would have stayed up as well if De Freitas hadn’t blazed over from close range when it was harder to miss.

Only Nathan Smith remains from that team today, the majority of the others long since faded into obscurity.

Oddly though Big Reg Cicilia has played in the Champions League (hatrick) and Kiko has been knocking around the Europa League!

More nuts that side would have stayed up by 9 points with that haul last season!

It's fair to say, we've had easier run-ins;

15/04/2023 Derby County (H)
18/04/2023 Sheffield Wednesday (H)
22/04/2023 Port Vale (A)
29/04/2023 Peterborough United (A)
06/05/2023 Bolton Wanderers (H)
