Football Manager 15 - Network Game.

So how does this work? Are you all in the same league? Or is it like you have seperate games and just tell each other how your getting on?

Separate games, I haven't got far into mine yet due to uni work, will really crack on next week with my file.

We have all started with a team in League Two, and we're seeing who can go the furthest.

Got 6 of us having a go at it so far.

Yeah, I'm Exeter. Enjoying my save so far, it's got me into FM15. I'm about 16 or so league games in, sat in 9th place.

Nobody wants to join Exeter, though!! Doing far better than i anticipated because I was expecting a relegation battle.

For Luton I've signed 3 players on free transfers, Gorman (LM) a left back and signed a striker on loan from Brum. Confident of top half at least.

I've started mine with Plymouth, and if I don't concede 2 a game it's a miracle.

Sat firmly in mid table after 8 games.

Just started this morning after work being cancelled today..

Done pre season, and played the first 2 league games and the Captial One cup. Won my league games but lost 4-3 to Sheffield United in the cup.

Spent 70k on signing Matty Blair despite my scout saying he's not as good as my other winger and he's scored in every game. Also signed Matt Green, Johnny Gorman and a left back on loan from Watford!

A little update now that I'm pretty close to the halfway point of my Exeter save. It's extremely challenging, I have no budget whatsoever, and I'd hate to count how many players have turned down loan moves to me which is infuriating with the amount of injuries I'm getting. It's like fighting a constant losing battle. Still really enjoying it though, and as said before, it's got me into playing FM15 much more.

League table;

Started the season off really well after expecting a relegation battle initially, now I'm dropping but I'd be happy finishing mid-table considering the circumstances.

Transfers;

Reed and Winchester were only with me for a month, before returning to their clubs, and King is out injured for weeks now. Playing youngsters and my RB is also playing LW at the moment, haha.

I most certainly did - he's been quality for me, but he misses a hell of a lot of sitters, which can be infuriating.

An update coming up to the 25 game mark - I chose Plymouth, and have been in and around the play off zone throughout the season. My squad has been riddled with injuries, and I have often found a fixture congestion due to cup competitions, such as the JPT. I made it into January within reach of the playoffs, and with a bit of strengthening, I could possibly, somehow, get there.

The table so far -

The league has not been my only over achievement so far, as if you look at the fixture schedule - I am in the JPT Area Final. I played every game against a L1 team away in the JPT, and have came out victorious in every one.


As for transfers - I have been toying around with many loan signings, and I have also offloaded a fair few. I signed my first money signing in January, at a whopping 18k.


As for the experience - so far, it's been great fun. Definitely got me back into a dedicated FM save.

After August I've won all my league games and got manager of the month. The curse didn't kick in during the next game though. Beat Exeter 3-1. Not doing too bad, but once injuries start to kick in I may struggle as my back up players aren't very strong!

Well, I've finished my season with Exeter and ended up in a fairly disappointing 16th place. Had a torrid run of form towards the end of my season and it was difficult to turn my form around with a very thin squad low on confidence.

I've had no budget all season, hopefully I can bring in some players now that a fair few of my squad's contracts are running out.

Sorry lads, neglected this abit this last week.

On it now, and in Mid October my 100% winning start is over. I'm 2nd, 1 point behind Shrewsbury who have played a game less aswell.

Not sure if anyone is still doing this but I've just completed my second season at Exeter. I started off really well and was on the outside of the Play-Offs for about 2/3 of the season. I then completely collapsed again, just like the first season, losing 7 of my last 10 games and finishing 15th. I was then sacked!!!

In fairness, I got annoyed at the same thing happening for the second reason running and wasn't really putting much thought into what I was doing as I proceeded to lose the final four games of the season.

Ah well, just in time for the January update. I had fun (at times).
