Gonna resist all the hilarious Quorn v Burger King jokes....

Anyway should be a routine 3 points on paper, but probably wont be cos we often mess up against struggling sides we should beat, especially what with them having just changed managers. Plus Kurtis Guthrie will probably score.

Hopefully we can finally score more then 1 in a game, we've been threatening to, maybe tomorrow is the day it all clicks.

You're showing your age Chris :ohm:
Stevenage BOROUGH!!
Good games against that team in days gone by.
And I do believe that FGR have not lost to Stevenage in the EFL. :D

On form should be a home win but with Stevenage under new management it could be a case of 'dead cat bounce'.

Whatever, the sun is shining and there is not wind so good footballing weather.
Looking forward to match.

Scrappy old half and thought Boro had the better of it, we've not got going partly because they've won most in the air at the back and are getting the tackles in, but they've been a bit crisper coming forward too but fortunately also lacking some quality. Kurtis still pretty handy I see, getting booed now as he's on a yellow and putting himself about. Stevenage came closest early on with one across the face I think Thomas palmed away, we made a couple of half chances and Aitchison got put in but a wayward Boro pass across the back line but his shot got blocked.
Need to up our game second half to get anything out of this.

Poor game and a poor crowd. We didn't improve, Stevenage had a couple of goalmouth scrambles and were better of two poor sides for first ten or so after the break. Cooper had made two subs, think one might have been enforced for a knock Rawson was carrying. Sub Ebou Adams though was doing better in midfield, started winning a bit more and were sort of getting the upper hand then day summed up by a red for a second yellow, bit of a nothing foul by Taylor but he'd done a few and probably been warned. Weirdly Stevenage seemed to want to see it out for the draw then and started timewasting where they'd been more than in it against eleven.
Mid-table side from us at best on that showing, no sign of it coming together like I'd hoped. Too much slack passing and lightweight dithering.

Oh dear me, a game to forget and changes at club creating unrest.
Football this season by FGR has been drab which low attendance figures is reflecting.
Trouble is that the FGR faithful know that the team are so much better than their performances of late. A good resounding win will nullify many of the complaints against the club but that elusive good game is seemingly always the next one!

FGR dropped two home points against a team at bottom of table but remain in 5th place in table, so not all bad news.

We won last week, same complaints.

Quite a few getting sick and tired of how this club is run.

The efforts there, but the play's so constrained. You wouldn't mind if we just gave it a bloody good bollocking some times. Those days where if all else failed you could create inertia from shear bloody mindedness and brute force alone. ala Paul Stonehouse, have GONE!

It's all getting a bit Forest Green Nil, nothing to see here! :sl:

Oh well, who knows what next weekend will bring

I think the main problem at the moment is the owner using the club as a vehicle for his own political beliefs. The use of the Facebook account associated with the club to promote some of the things that he has been in the media for recently seems to have been what has brought all the other things that have been simmering below the surface to the fore.

It seems to me that we have ended up with a green Mike Ashley, someone who owns a club and does precisely what he wants, regardless of anyone else's opinion. I don't mix with the South Stand crowd, who have already voiced their opinion, but a more mature group and have to say that the majority are not at all happy at present...regardless of how well the team are doing on the pitch.

Dale's worry should be the harm that might come to him and his "message" if the fans turn against him...at present I don't think that point is too far away.

No way, no chance and I go to all the away matches.

Not from you maybe, but a lot of the bods have had enough now. You not seen all the "support the team, hate the regime" and "fuck Eco Park" stuff?

The club has to start listening to fans or this could escalate, the anger is growing.

What's the big issue at FGR at the moment - I was reading your forum yesterday and there seems to be some real unrest amongst the support.

Treatment of fans and Dale's forcing of his/his companies opinions/political views on to everything associated with the club mainly.

The matchday experience for the non corporate/vip fan isn't great, especially in the South Stand, people banned for very little, ott stewarding, security blocking the entries to most parts of the main stand facilities which used to be open to fans, people are fed up of it.

A football club is bigger then any one person, and we are not an Ecotricity company team. I'm not sure Vince see's the difference in owning a football club as oppose to owning an Electricity company. Which is a problem.

What the real issue is that despite FGR being 5th in table, the style of play this season has been boringly excruciating with hardy any goals.
Once FGR regain their attractive style of play, win or lose, the fans will regain their love and enthusiasm for the club.

You'll also notice that it is always the same small number of guys banging on about the situation under Dale V.
Empty vessels, loud noises springs to mind.
