Yes i think i did you a disservice there. Just seems that way , but as i pointed out late goals aren't luck. A hell of a lot of top sides in all 4 divisions score them, that is the sign of a side going to the whistle.

Well i'm not a lincoln fan, but i remember them scoring a fair few late goals of significance the season before last when we were chasing them for the title. We also got our share though, and as you say it's the hallmark of a good side, so it was unsurprising they and we finished 1st and 2nd respectively.

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember Lincoln getting a fair few goals in the kind of 55 to 75 minute timeframe towards the start of this season.

Excellent joke there thanks. Obviously mentioned that as darren gregory might be getting confused between late winners and mid-second half equalisers/winners, of which I'd imagine they've had a few. Without fully checking, I can think of 2 matches they came back from 0-1 down to win thanks to second half goals (Bury and...MKD (?) at Sincil Bank).

Exeter fans still bleat on about this, the time in a minimum, on the day in question their keeper required about 4 minutes of treatment and then the subs, time wasting etc.

An Exeter fan actually watched the half back and accounted for all the time! They even had a minute or so after to miss a sitter too. Have to play until the end.

He was wrong though. There were no subs in injury time in that game. Looking back I have no problem with last night but Port Vale was an injustice

Well i suppose you raise the question what can be classed as a late goal. I see it as about 85 mins onwards but that's obviously a pretty arbitrary criterion . Think we can all agree that anything 90+ is late however.

We've been very good at scoring early in games (first 15 minutes ) starting the game quickly and get a goal.

They're the only two from 1-0 down that I can recall.

It's been discussed on our forum over the last day or so, coincidentally enough.

Long story short, 14 separate games and 18 goals from 80th minute to FT. In injury time we've gained 3 points but dropped 6. From the circa 80th minute mark through to FT we're actually 3 points worse off with (5 gained, 8 dropped).

7 other games there were no change in the results.

Can't remember the exact stat but I think we gained something silly like 25 points from goals scored in the last quarter of games in 2016/17.

Surprised by that, I had it in my head that you seem to go behind quite a lot for a team in first place. Maybe I just enjoy those ones more haha. So those two I mentioned are the only ones? How many times have you come from behind to draw??

Only last night.

R.e. fast starts, scored 10 in the opening 10 minutes of games and only conceded 2. Haven't lost and generally win when we score early (Bury (a) and Cambridge (h) (10 men) the only times we didn't but drew both).
