Quite a direct side, diagonal balls out wide usually, can be poor defensively.

Got some good players attacking, DKD, Phillips in particular.
Be a good test, largely to see how much improvement we show from last season.

If it's any consolation, we'll be losing at Kingfield, which is 2005 to 2014 all over again!
We've got FGR. No Colin Peake these days, though

They're challenging for top of the VNL, seems that under Cotterill they're a long way from the Troy Deeney shitshow of last season. We're likely to rest a few since County have multiple Tuesday matches coming up, so it's not going to be easy

The conference is piss poor though even FGR can do well in that. They do have some tidy players though in Sercombe, McCann and our on loan GK Jed Ward

Fucking Boreham Wood away, they've only sold 800 tickets and I think we've sold a similar number meaning the game is now no longer all ticket and fans can pay on the day. This is what happens when you move it to 2pm on a Sunday, had this been a Saturday at 3pm the game probably would've sold out but there we go.

They will fancy their chances of an upset, because we can't score for shit. We have to score first in games to stand a chance of getting anything.

Wellens has to win this or I can see more noise being generated on whether or not he can still take us forward.

Barnet @ home.. The definition of a potential banana skin.
Go all out, get a couple goals, then bring players off who would need a rest.
Simple

Before this evening we had 5 fit defenders and only 3 available attackers for tomorrow (Fosu, McCarron and Pinnock)

Rectified that somewhat by announcing the signings of TJ Eyoma and Martyn Waghorn on short term deals. The injury situation again is quite amazing, think it’s 12 out injured/suspended in all so the two new bodies are much needed.

Hoskins missed Tuesday at Lincoln and Eaves came on and seemingly broke his nose/cheekbone and couldn’t continue, and then Tyler Roberts stupidly got himself sent out so we are threadbare pretty much everywhere. I know a few Kettering fans and they properly fancy an upset and not without good reason.

If you were Wycherley, would you get the P45 written up for Hirst?
I'm usually one of the last ones to be in the manager out camp, and he has been dealt a bad hand with the budget, but the way things are going he'd be getting called into the office. We're just so poor defensively and he's clearly fallen out with some of the young loanees which we just can't afford given they're the only quality attacking outlets in the squad. He can't seem to impact games with subs either. I'm probably influenced by the manner of the performance Saturday, but Hurst has only won 6 games since returning in January.

The cup is vital for us this season to give us a chance to try and strengthen in January to have a shot at staying up

Not this. We were two up against Hartlepool and that didn't end well! 4 goals minimum

Huddersfield playing the same way when they came to us for a point. Absolutely no threat whatsoever. Great win for Tamworth.

York at home.

No excuses, we have a decent squad and could rotate most of the team, yet still put out a competitive side.

Since competition for places in the squad is seriously high right now (and I mean just to get in the matchday *squad*, let alone the starting XI) then anyone who gives a half-arsed performance will not be easily forgiven.

Shame Huddersfield weren't that dire last week. I do think the plastic pitch made a difference though, whatever Duff said. A few bounces seem to be misjudged

It certainly wasn't a good on either!
That Huddersfield performance is everyone's nightmare from their team in that kinda fixture wasn't it, absolutely terrible.

Plastic pitches are bloody awful though aren't they.

I saw something from Suttons chairman this morning moaning about it. Good, they can stay in non league.

Only 2770 at Rotherham, perhaps just as well considering they’re getting shown up by Cheltenham.

I realise there’s an FA Cup thread already, but easier to see who is playing in this one etc. Will merge after this weekends fixtures.

Walsall away for us. Not fussed if we get knocked out, want to focus on the league.

And we did indeed lose!

Rotherham also lost, which means out our game that was postponed for internationals in a couple of weeks can now be played on 2nd round weekend. Happy days.

The game at Exeter sounds like fun.

Infact loads of games did and a few shocks too.
