We’d say chest they will say arm, either way ref is buggered but once pen given it’s a red.

Only surprise is usually in fa cup games the non league side gets a lot of blatantly biased referee decisions didn’t happen there.

We just took all our attack off now just saving for Wednesday in league

Thing is I am fairly certain it hit his arm which stopped a goal so it’s got to be a penalty and a red card.

The red does still feel harsh, despite the fact it’s probably the right decision. I felt sorry for him, but he had to go.

On the train with some of your fans after the game they really don't like your manager much.
Think it is 50/50 I think we should of got shot in the Summer. His system got found out and he cannot change alter a game.
We have had a minimum 5/6 players out injured every game. This is down to signing players who have already missed large spells out injured with their previous club. We currently have 8 out injured.
Plays players in their wrong positions like he did yesterday and makes the same substitutions at the same stage of a game week in week-out.
Some of the happy clappers still back him

Stockport County.
Some mouth watering ties in that 2nd round draw.

Salford vs Cheltenham probably the pick of the bunch.

Harrogate/Trinity, Wealdstone/Wycombe, Reading/Harborough, Kettering/Doncaster, Stockport/Brackley are probably the TV picks.

Tamworth might get another sniff because of their first round upset but away at Burton probably isn't one the TV companies are fussed about.

Potentially Crawley away for us.

Understand that Northampton/Kettering are close distance wise but I'm struggling to understand why it's a big game other than that? They can't have met too many times competitively or have any history to it?

Another team from this division for us in Charlton that's the 5th League one club we will have played this season in cups I'm not too disappointed with that I'd give us a good chance against anyone at home in the bottom two divisions the way we have been playing.

It's not a big game, and we haven't really ever played each other. There is absolute zero bad blood between the teams like Peterborough or Rushden would have been, it'd be like Gateshead playing Newcastle or something. Just the combination of being local and the amount of league differences made them favourites to be on TV when there weren't really any other particular plum ties - Hednesford pulling Gainsborough rather than a league club etc.

Still think our game Vs Weston should have been on tbh

Found myself watching Sutton v Birmingham. That's 90.minutes of my life I'm never getting back
Pretty meh wasn't it, i was there, old skool ground, funny coming out the ground and mixing with Sutton fans, they didn't really turn up and will feel slightly disappointed that they didn't have more of a go, then again we didn't really let them.

Prime opportunity to give Leonard, Dykes and other fringe players a run out, but Davies wont relent and likes to go strong every game, he needs to be a tad more flexible, as going to be tough to keep everyone happy.

Blackpool away next round, the Brucie derby

Chesham against lincoln or us yesterday would’ve been a lot more attractive, i bet no-one out of northamptonshire really knew about it.

Worst draw was always gonna be an away tie against a fellow L1 side, somewhere we never win. 2nd round did not disappoint..
Seemed like the perfect opportunity for our annual cup draw, maybe we've finally broken that curse

Don't see anyone without an SK postcode being interested in our game v Brackley? There's a little history for us because we could never beat them at home during the NLN days, but that's not going to make TV audiences salivate

Blackpool v Birmingham would be a better choice. Reckon Posh v Notts would be a good game to watch too

I had absolutely no idea Stephen Quinn was still going. Always rated him in his Sheffield Utd days.

Assist king, and a club legend.

Still got it, obviously needs managing minute wise but very important player for us.

I think the potential audience for any of these is pretty small, I'd say Blackpool v Brum makes the most sense if you're just picking the teams with the biggest fanbases.

I mean sure, there's a few banana skin fixtures in there but I don't think those resonate with the general public in the same way as the chance to see an EPL (or even fallen giant Championship) side get knocked out.

Heard they're replaying Wrexham v Arsenal in one of the slots.

Sorry, but Blackpool v Brum has none of the key FA Cup ingredients to me.
Chance of an upset? No.
One team getting to their highest round? No
Quaint ground? No.

It probably will be half empty too, which will be awful for TV.

But they will probably go for the Steve Bruce angle as they are devoid of any imagination.

5 changes for us, bit of a makeshift side - a RWB at CB, an untried midfield and two lads from the Academy up front. Only really two proper defensive minded outfield players in the starting XI full stop.

3 from the U18’s on the bench.

This is what I think.
It’s like when two prem teams are drawn out.
Palace v wolves
Gets televised over league 2 v championship due to the perceived “audience” been bigger for the larger teams.
If it’s Blackpool v blues I won’t watch it.
Harrogate v Gainsborough I would.

Thoroughly professional performance from us. Important for us to get in front. We have lost many games like that over the past number of years, so pleased we are through. Less pleased we have a bitch of a trip to Crawley
