We’ve just dropped off a cliff and I don’t really know why, we just need to try and not lose a game somehow and build from that.

The first bad spell we had we played well in them all, it was stuff out of our control but this time we’ve now deservedly been beaten by Cambridge, Crawley, Shrewsbury, and I presume Northampton.

BELEAGUERED Cloughie.

I actually think this is the perfect time to offer him a new contract, he wants one and he’s out of contract in the summer; time to back him. When you are in a rut you want an experienced proven manager like Clough.

You’d think Mansfield can’t get 7/8 points to stay up surely?

Seems like they’re suffering from the typical 2nd half season syndrome, for those who don’t spend millions at this level.

Happened to most of the promoted teams the last couple of seasons, the momentum carries you through the first season / half season before the gap starts showing.

Problem is this bad run of form is against sides that don’t spend millions and occupy the relegations spots. We are a decent team and Crawley, Northampton, Cambridge and Shrewsbury are all sides we’ve beaten this season.

I’m not worried about the drop, obviously eventually you become worried if it carries on but it’s the too early for that, although the sudden influx of guaranteed starters injured is concerning, Lee Gregory and Will Evans both out too so that’s our frontline evaporated.

Fair point, although in a way they’re the worst ones to play. Crawley aside, the other teams have been here for a few seasons and know what it takes to grind out results in L1- that was our biggest challenge when we came up a few years ago.

Anyway, I think you’ll be safe this season. Next year as you say will be the challenge

Think signing older players is catching up with us ,niggling injuries cloughie saying the surfaces at the training ground causing a few of them but we should have enough about us to keep us safe .A big rebuild is vital in the summer will nigel be up for it ?

Excellent half from County here, completely neutered any threat Barnsley might have & been very incisive ourselves. You'd hate to play us right now

Weird second half, stats make it look like we were under siege but it just felt fully controlled. Still well worth the three points.

Comfortable win against an in form Stevenage side who didn’t even manage a shot on target. Full credit to Nathan Jones for turning our season around after many (including me) thought he was destined for the sack. Long may it continue

Hahahahaha.

Hahahah. Somehow level at half time, and even almost took the lead with a fluid Barça 08 emulation. Ish.

If we now take the "we're back in it, it's working!" approach after that last five, the Monk is truly tactically inept.

Bolton looking good to guarantee their place in the Vertu Trophy next season.

If Crawley and Burton hold on its been a horrific 24 hours for us

It's all going off in that Bolton v Crawley game.
Crawley going down at every opportunity, most of the bench staff getting booked, think there will be plenty of added time.
The 2nd Bolton goal was a bit dubious though, looked like the ref was still getting Bolton to take the free kick further back, Bolton took it further up and he allowed them to carry on and score

Bloody Marquis again. All he did for us was foul and get himself caught offside constantly

There's always at least 10 mins injury time when Bolton need a goal.

Fucking useless. First game I haven’t watched and I’m so glad. We need a bit of grit but sounds like we went too far the other way with the time wasting. Got to be said though, 2 weeks in a row the ref has fucked us over.
Time is up.
