If he was just reacting then it makes it worse as it was sparking a lighter gesture, I thought it might just be his usual celebration but if it’s been done in retaliation then obviously not. I think it’ll be looked into more.

Agree with your assessment of the game except for we looked tidy in midfield, most of your chances came from our midfield giving the ball away they were appalling. We got what we deserved today, hopefully it was a one off as we’ve played far better the first four games.
Looks like he picked up a lighter that was thrown at him on the pitch and held it up, probably not the wisest thing to do but I don't think any malice was intended.

Very happy with that. Carlisle were as poor as I've seen them for a while and, sucker punch goal apart, rarely threatened us. Bigger tests will come but I've seen nothing in L2 to worry me yet. For 20 minutes in the second half we even had an atmosphere break out. Blimey.

Nothing at all really, some differences, we can't dictate the tempo as much as we did and teams are better in the press early days but we look more than capable.

If that’s the case then it was the muppet in the crowds fault not the player.

I also would have subbed Holohan, which shows what I know. He often looks the weak link in midfield but he provides such a goal threat I can see the temptation to leave him on even when he's not doing much. Not sure how he got MOTM though, that was bizarre.

Ferguson, Burey Byrne or Angol for me. Holohan nowhere near. His overall game isn't impressive but he just does what he does.

Very happy with a 1-1 at Harrogate in the end. Usually playing 50 odd minutes with 10 men would end in certain defeat but sounded like we were excellent and deservedly equalised.

There’s fuck all consistency in L2 is there. Still really early days but it’s hard to see any team running away with the league.

Bring on FGR next week

Club.

Like last time.
Really? It’s not really anything to do with the club is it. The club isn’t their parents/guardians. I hope the club put it straight in the shredder if/when it turns up. Hopefully they did the same last time.

We can only hope that this is finally lesson learned.
Hopefully.

I’m still a bit concerned by the overall form hanging over from last season to be honest. I know I can be negative but I’m trying to remain positive about staying up, but just saw a stat, 6 wins in our last 29 league games.

Byrne looks fantastic, really impressed with him, he's not just a big lad but comfortable on the ball, the inclusion of ZFA at left CB has been a masterstroke these past two games.

Chris Beech reckons it was an even game and we weren't much better than them, righto Chris! :fl:

We do still have some idiots that follow us that let the club down, especially on the road. I hope the idiot that threw the lighter is identified and banned.

Apparently Smith was talking to a Bantam fan in the hospitality suite after the game and he was upset that fans thought he was mocking the fire. Only he will know, but I would like to give him the benefit of doubt and move on

Haven’t seen that incident with Smith and the Bradford fans but it’s hard for me to believe someone would be that callous to openly mock the fire (at least I hope that’s not the case). I might be wrong but it’s not as though he’s known for being like that.

Yes I believe Smith tbf after hearing what other fans have said as well, another complete muppet in our ranks who incited a lot of our end into blaming the player. I agree ban him. A miserable wet and expensive day this has been.

Holohans workrate can’t be denied, although sometimes has you shaking your head. If Shelton had put his chance away(like he should 1st half), then it may have holohan subbed.
Zane was outstanding and doesn’t duck anything.
goodwin a little off today, but may be needing a rest so may be left out tuesday
for round 2.

Can’t tell if he’s trying to take the piss with the “make light” part or not. I hope not.
I cannot imagine him taking the piss mate.

I escaped the fire that awful day without suffering any physical injuries, just mental ones for a long time after seeing things that day I obviously wouldn't wish on anyone

To this day I have to turn away if watching a film or TV programme with certain images.

Genuinely worried we might go down.
You won't, your squad is far too good and big enough to cope later in the season.

There are a lot of really thin squad's in this league, ours especially, look at the three players we brought on (a combined 4 FL appearances) and compare it to the players you brought on.

When injuries begin to mount and you're playing twice a week most weeks that's when you'll see the real difference.

Think Trevor Kettle got the penalty decision wrong, but not as wrong as what Micky Mellon is getting his tactics. Although the penalty decision was debatable, Scunny had 5 chances where they should of added to the score line. 1-0 flatters our performance today!

Wrecking a disabled enclosure? Shameless.

Knock fuck out out each other in town by all means, the fuck does this achieve?

They're drunk angry emotional football fans, do you expect them to have any shame?

Feel it is a bit unfair to try and act like Carlisle are responsible for them

It’s for people like yourself and others that I hope the fan is found and banned, total prick who has incited our fans and given a player a bad name albeit for only a short time. I bet the prick was loving all the fans trying to get to Smith, what a shit day this has been and ended in embarrassment on and off the pitch.

Me too.

We don't have much depth in the squad and are lacking in fire-power. However Micky's reluctance to give Ryan Watson a run in a more advanced position, despite him scoring more goals in that role in L1 last season than our current strikers have managed in their entire FL careers is a puzzle.

It sounded like Scunthorpe benefitted from a dodgy penalty, but were much the better team, with goalie Joe Murphy being our MoM again.

God we were shit today, totally stunk the place out. Orient had us worked out by keeping Cooke and Vernam quiet. Shite game though, no quality whatsoever but Orient won the physical battle in midfield and had more composure on the ball than we did. Correct result though.

Get players back, a new striker in by Tuesday and we go again next week.

It's horrible spending that time and money to see your team outplayed but every fan on here knows that feeling. Think some Mansfield fans will be going ballistic that they've lost 2 in succession but over the long season I think that them and us will be in the mix. Every team will have bad days at the office, it's how they react that is important. A couple of years ago we outplayed Swindon and we all know how that season finished. Adams will look long and hard at the lesson he was given today.

Well-deserved victory for us today. First half was a non-event, but we kept Bradford penned in their own half for most of the rest of the game. Callum Cooke had an extremely poor game/Pratley kicked the shit out of him, which made life pretty easy for us. Good to see an Orient side so well-versed in the dark arts and capable of killing games when ahead.

Difficult to judge Bradford on a day we did a real number on them. Prepared to write Tuesday off as a blip. Would be surprised if we don’t end the season with one of the three best defensive records in the division.
