Jacob called Crowley very early on, about the same time he demanded Part Time Stu went back to the NL and his former job at BT.

I’m still not completely dissuaded of this tbf. Credit where it’s due, though, he’s simplified his system and line-ups and got us playing well.

I predicted something like 14/15th this season due to my lack of faith and concerns in Maynard but he has proven me well and truly wrong. Saying that this season at no point did I want him sacked or felt his sacking was warranted. He's never lost the dressing room and we are where we deserve to be. In the mix, which is better than most expected after Jones and other lengthy injuries.

Excellent win at the Ammies. Pete Wild has got the nous of an experienced league 2 manager. 3 successive back to back home games, interesting if they can win a couple of these...

Me and the lad drove round to Ernie Beckett’s after the game and got a takeout while the traffic died down. I’m going to do that again next time we visit. Delicious.
Beef dripping batter in there, so maybe don't make too much of habit unless your arteries are in really good nick...

...And whilst on the subject of BEEF, I think the Cloudy / Lester one can be settled, Chesterfield have apologised for any perceived disrespect but Jason Stockwood - our non-director owner, has indicated GTFC will better communicate that we are doing the fallen Mariners to the away club in future.

As it was meant to be done v Notts I'd wager we told Notts but forgot to tell Chesterfield

Bit late in giving my view on yesterdays match as I ended up in hospital after the game would you believe. Bit of an unexpected scare. But don’t worry lads, I’m alright now.

Anyway thought it was a good intelligent away performance from Bradford. Sat in first half while we had a lot of the ball, made sure we didn’t even come close to scoring. Took their chance second half, saw it out easily, we ran out of ideas, They ran out deserved winners. No complaints about the result.

We are terrible though. I told you you had to see it to believe how bad we are.

Unlike some fans I accepted we’re down weeks ago. Throwing a bunch of new players together over night is not going to change that. I’ve absolutely no idea what the optimists are seeing.
Talk about being in unison, your club are going down so you thought that you would too, fair play.

Scrappy 1-0 win for the Alex at Morecambe. Controlled the first half but created little, Morecambe had the better chances.

We weren't as in control 2nd half, but probably had a few more chances as Morecambe opened up. Well worked goal and well taken by Long. Dug in at the end and ground it out. Not a pretty performance, but a wins a win at this stage of the season.

Big concern was Jack Lankester going off after barely being able to put any weight on his right ankle. If that's a serious one, we need a creative attacker before the window closes in the worst way. Because what we've got now are goalscorers or inconsistent creators.
I've heard it could be Lankester out for the rest of the season.

Yeah, could well be. Need to move for another creative attacker if that's the case, as whilst we've arguably got enough goals in Long, Bogle, Hemmings and Tracey to cover for his absence, nobody is replacing his creativity in forward position.
