That Newport captain lucky to escape a booking, he's got something to say all the time

Well, 45 mins of my life i won’t get back. Games lacking any sort of quality at all, as shown by that ‘defending’ from Newport for our goal.

Ty Williams showing exactly why he’s not played a minute in a league game so far this year, not won a header and every pass has gone out play. I’ll put it down to rustiness…

Markanday our bright spark.

Very poor quality game this. One horrendous Newport mistake is the difference, both sides struggling to create chances or generate any attacking fluency.

Any neutral sticking around to watch the 2nd half after that shit show of a first half, I applaud.

Newport’s a bugger of a place to get a win at though, so sometimes if you can get a gift like that opening goal it can make all the difference, will be a big morale boosting win if chesterfield can hold off.

Not a ground i remember fondly so i can understand why a few spireites stopped at home!

Attritional would he the polite word for the game so far.

Lucky escape for Chesterfield from that Hudlin cross. There’s something watchable about Hudlin maybe in a similar way to a car crash but you still can’t help looking.

Crap game, but you absolutely don't care if you take the points. Especially away from home. Grigg is still such a wily bastard. Banks very good since coming on

Newport look soft and could end up struggling I reckon if teams lower down can actually start picking up points .

Chesterfield slowly starting to move in the right direction , and look like a team who could go on an unbeaten run but probably draw a good few

Yeah , the refs down here probably think it's a yellow card offence .

Newport's defence is honking. On pace to concede 92 goals. Chesterfield looked ordinary, but having quality like Grigg on the bench is ridiculous.

Absolutely buzzing after that, can’t beat a good old battle & ground out away win can you. Wasn’t pretty at all, but a clean sheet and 3 away goals, absolute text book away day at a place we’ve not won at for 55 years

Markanday MOTM for us, just oozes class & quality, but tell you something, Harvey Araujo is some player & a very close 2nd on MOTM. 19 year old CB on loan from Fulham, we’ve struck gold with that one, he’s going to have a top career in the future. Buzzing for Grigg too, that’s 5 goals in his last 4 and he came off the bench in 2 of them.

Feet up for the weekend job done

We weren't brilliant tonight but Newport don't play football. With the injuries and suspension to naylor, that's a great win.

Banks made the difference when he came on. Grigg is a beautiful man.

Banks was brilliant, his runs in behind their defence made both of Griggs goals.

Could only but dream coming across a defence like that! but newport look like they’ve some serious problems at the back, communication being the first issue to address.

Thought chesterfield looked tidy, ironically on in the pub here like last week,

I like Banks a lot when he's playing more advanced with more freedom. I'm not sure he's great as one of the midfield 2. Brilliant off the bench today

Not a great performance at all but Grigg (and Banks) made all the difference.
