I don't think you can discount the effects of geography on part-time players. If you have a real job as well, then travelling hundreds of miles to train two evenings a week will be unsustainable, so a part-time club is going to be limited to recruiting local (ish) players.

We're part-time. Doesn't really make a difference when you have a good manager.
Disagree there. We have beaten teams purely because of our better fitness due to being full time.

Burton were part-time when they got promoted.
I think it was a variation on part-time though, wasn't it? Training during the day and such like?

Anyway, we train on Tuesday (if we don't have a game) and Thursday evenings. Crowds have improved slightly in recent years and through the community sports hall and various other ventures we seem to be increasing revenue streams. But there is absolutely zero chance we'll go full-time until such time as we get promoted. Which could only happen in the wake of the dream FA Cup tie at Old Trafford or the Emirates and the £1.5m that comes with it.

If what I've heard is true then Boreham Wood will be going FT next season.

Not really, Wrexham probably had more gates less than 3,000 than above it this season, their average this season is inflated by that anniversary game with Grimsby, they had one below 2,000 too.

We've definitely seen a difference this season training three mornings a week instead of two evenings from last season, whether we'd gain more of an advantage on the pitch from proper full time, I'm sceptical to be honest.

If you take off the Grimsby game Wrexham's average crowd is still over 3,000 (3,041 to be precise). I think that is pretty good in what was an awful season in the league.

We're remaining full-time, but I think it's clear that if promotion is not achieved in the next two seasons then, without a lot more people coming through the gates, we'll be going to part-time.

Very wise. With Johnson in charge, I can see you lot being pushing playoffs next year.

Meanwhile, Dartford and Margate are looking to go full time. Haha.
