Oxford United away on 2nd October 2010. The hosts are 1-0 up through a goal courtesy of Tom Craddock. We weren't actually playing that bad. We had just gone unbeaten through September, winning every game and not conceding a single goal in the process, so confidence was understandably high. With 90 minutes on the clock, Gareth Owen equalised to send the Vale fans into raptures. Absolutely wild celebrations. Their fans got a lot of stick, a small group of Valiants spilled onto the pitch and it was more a sense of relief than the importance of the game itself.

However, within around 16 (?) seconds, with Vale fans still celebrating like crazy, and some still on the pitch perimeter, Oxford break up the other end and go 2-1 up much to the delight of their supporters who quite rightly gave our fans abuse and went bezerk. Our fans looked stunned, didnt know whether to hurl abuse in the direction of the Oxford supporters, or whether to bury their head in their hands. Unbelievable.

It was funny, but quite frankly, it was rather embarrassing too, and Oxford fans most definitely had the last laugh that day.
