I read a while ago that the writers made all the actors sit together & read the final episode together out loud. When it ended, they all turned and said "Wow, it's really the perfect ending".

This has been on my mind the entire time & I think it's pretty obvious what's going to happen. I hope there is still some shock left in this series, but I don't really see where. There isn't anyone left to shock me tbh.

Awful season, awful writing, awful character development. Tbh, even the acting hasn't been as believable as it usually is, maybe this is because of the character though.

I signed the petition to have the final season rewritten, although it's incredibly unlikely but f*cking hell - this has been awful. 727,000 signatures so far

I really don’t think that’s true - quite a few members of the cast have openly shown their dislike for this season and the final outcome.

Overall, the the first 4 season some of the best TV ever. Season 5 gets a lot of hate but I still liked it, the same with Season 6. Season 7 is an absolute car crash and 8 is even worse. From the the small amount of dialogue they have now, I can barely listen to it.

The sad thing is that the writers have always had the capabilities. Quite a few scenes from the first seasons were written by them as they weren’t in the books. They just can’t be bothered anymore. If they’d have just carried on with 3 more full seasons rather than the last two shortened ones, I think most people would have been happy and their reputations wouldn’t have been massively tarnished.

Yeah Sod’s law I can’t find it anywhere now, but I read that it was during the sit down together. Sounds fair that Kit May have said it at the time in front of producers but after it was made, changed his mind.

Thought that was actually a good final episode, just a shame it took a bit of a nosedive before we got there. The tying up of the loose ends all made sense, and ended in a mostly believable way.

I agree. I hated most of this season but actually enjoyed the final episode.

I wasn't one of the people who wanted Jon to be King. He's spent the entire show as an outsider and I was hoping he'd stay as one. Perfect ending for him in my opinion although the masses will cry that he should have ruled Westeros. Bran was the perfect choice of King all things considered. I'm quite disappointed that now the shittery of the last few seasons is over that there won't be more scenes with a council of Tyrion, Bronn and Samwell.

If they had just spent a bit more time building up the stories of Dany, Jon and Tyrion this season and given Cersai and Sansa much more screen time, they'd have achieved a decent finale. But unfortunately, they blew the budget on big set pieces and it's backfired massively.

I just can't enjoy Bran the bloody Broken ending up on the throne when he's done sod all for eight seasons. I was laughing through this final episode it was so bad and ridiculous. I mean come on, what was Jon doing. What a pants ending for him, suddenly reuniting with his direwolf that he couldn't even be bothered to say goodbye to in the other episode.

They had some really cool story archs, the Night King, a (possible) dragon for each Targaryen, the Prince who was Promised and all that jazz and we get this ending. Bran the Broken. Completely stupid.

Yeah, dreadful episode. Probably worst of the lot, it’s a shame but never mind.

Shame it was such a weak series to end it on. Can't help but feel the whole GOT was really slow building up but taking time to give proper time to characters, and then this series comes out and they rushed it.

I still don't really get why Bran is king. What was the point of there being so much about him becoming the 3 eyed raven and then you don't see him do much with it. He told Jon about his parents but even that turned out to be irrelevant anyway.

I am sure their will be spin offs that will go into greater detail.

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about this show. I watched it twice and the first two seasons were consumed in a few days for the first time - I did nothing else, just watched it all day long. When it comes to the next seasons, it is known a lot, but in my opinion they lacked something, they did not live up to the task as in the first seasons, while the last one - He was fine and in a few moments my overall rating was also surprising 7/10

Like many of our TV shows, it grew in popularity over time and didn't gain hit status until it was well into its first few seasons. I would probably say some people saw it coming from the beginning, for me anybody watching this show. Stick with it and your brain will magically start following the intricate storytelling!

GOT is one of the greatest tv shows ever created. The setting, the background music, the storyline, the characters and each and every detail we get from each episode are fantastic and eye catching. Each character were casted perfectly.
