Here you go. On the left hand side. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26830233

Although I think this was his best interview after last season's game. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30092184

We were shafted in that first game, though. I was one of our about 12 away fans that night. Not sure I've ever celebrated a goal so late in the game knowing that we'd won only to then concede. One of the Grimsby bench also threw a bottle at Hill such was their delight at getting the equaliser. It was only part-time Woking, at home.

As for the second one, we literally gifted you the goals. Then when we got it back to 2-1 you were on the ropes and we hit the post. He was right about Barnet, walking the league, and Grimsby didn't go up so you can't have been that good.

You always get a result against us, some way or another. Hopefully we can be the ones scoring the last minute winners this season.

At least we don't pretend to be, like Dover.

A cracker from Lord Hill yesterday on Chris Arthur getting sent off: "If Halifax players would have show as much desire in the first half of the season as they did towards getting Chris sent off, then they wouldn't be so near to the bottom of the table." :fl:

LOVELY :woo:

Wrong.

If they'd had Sir Jimmy Harvey as manager in the first half of the season they'd be no where near the bottom of the table.

Lord Hill is watching Braintree v Bromley today. We don't have to play either before the end of the season. Bromley only have a caretaker manager in charge. Welling are at Eastleigh today which wouldn't be a million miles away to go and watch. Suggested by our board that our budget will be reduced next season. He does live in Essex, though. Coincidence?

Interesting on two levels. First of all, the statement that our board have "suggested" that our budget next season will be reduced - which, as far as I'm aware, they haven't done. And secondly, Garry Hill apparently has a year left on his contract at Woking. Do you think that either Braintree or Bromley would be willing to pay compensation to Woking for him leaving while under contract?

Why would Braintree want to replace their manager with an inferior one?

It was said at the AGM that the budget next season might have to be reduced. The suggestion was further confirmed on our forum by a board member when stating we wouldn't have a 'relegation budget' but one possibly less than 300k. I imagine Braintree are very happy with Cowley. Bromley seem to have a bit of money behind them, why not?

I think he was just there watching players, as he's local. Hopefully someone amongst the coaching staff/Geoff Chapple as Director of Football were watching Welling. It's not as if they were playing at Barrow. Or maybe everyone really has completely given up.

Yes, I'm aware of what was allegedly said at the AGM, also that a board member subsequently came onto our forum in an attempt to clarify what had been said. My issue was with you saying that our budget "will be reduced" next season rather than "might be reduced". Nobody's said that.

I'm sure Braintree are very happy with Cowley; whether Cowley is happy with Braintree is more the issue. Given what he's done at the club, I don't see him staying there for too long. As for Bromley: I don't know what their financial position is, but I don't have them down as one of the moneyed clubs in this division.

You need to read my original post again, then. As you'll note, I said: "Suggested by the board that our budget will be reduced next season." I guess I could have removed 'will' with 'might' to make it more obvious, but I thought 'suggested' at the start was enough.

I think/hope he was just there watching players, taking in a Conference game etc. I'd expect someone to be watching Welling given how soon we're playing them. With Steve Thompson living in Yeovil, I believe, maybe he did. Actually, on second thoughts, maybe Mike Smith was there given his eagerness to win football matches.
