Women's football is improving but still lags behind in terms of pay, funding, media, crowd turn out etc, it's not just football it's sports in general. Men's football is now a multi-million pound business and if the FA have not done so already it's time that they implement its own equality policy properly in order to support women's football.
Top teams like West Ham United that has a lot of wealth behind them can't even support and fund West Ham Ladies training kit, transportation, sharing training facilities, even their ticket prices on match days are very low cost, their pay is terrible, majority of women football team are coached and managed by men, 90% of UK sports coverage is devoted by men and there is very little exposure of professional women football players and grass roots players on things like social media and their websites.
Arsenal possibly may be the only club in the UK that possibly promote their ladies team constantly, I could be wrong but that is my guess as I always seem to be made aware of them through their marketing campaigns.
