Even with the full weight of the Tory press behind them, the Tories are still not going to win an election against the supposedly unelectable Miliband. That's over 30 years now. A cosy up to their natural rat bretheren in UKIP beckons.

Good to have you back.

I'm beginning to suspect the Tories will govern as a minority with informal UKIP, DUP, UUP and Lib Dem support.

I also think the SNP may be about to make fools of themselves.

Surely it would be the final nail in the coffin for the Lib Dems if they went with the tories for a second time, even in an informal agreement? Lib Dem supporters like to pass the argument regarding the coalition as one of necessity as Labour were still short of the 326 majority. That won't be the case (assuming the SNP play ball) this time.

That said I'm still sceptical that the SNP are going to win that many seats. I think once some Scots realise that a SNP vote in Westminster weakens a Labour national government there may well be tactical voting. Think the ruling out of the SNP coalition or agreement by Miliband was a bit of a backfire.

So are we all watching Paxo interviewing Cameron and Miliband tonight? Channel 4, 9pm.

Feels a bit weird. Kind of like watching a game between one team you don't particularly like and another you really hate. Labour vs Tory is the Arsenal vs Chelsea of the political world.

Anyone follow today's actions in Parliament?
Tories tried to oust Bercow, backstabbing some of their own MPs suggestions in the process.

Fair play for this guy for taking a stand, proper emotional at the end. Hague is a slimy c*** as is Gove.

Heard it on the radio. To be fair, I didn't hear it all as I was out in the garden with a stick trying to get a bit of Gove off my shoe.

Nice speech.

Not the first time this Government has been sly as fuck when it comes to Parliamentary procedure.

Really makes you admire MP's like Charles Walker. Done some reading about him, he campaigns extensively to make parties less important in parliamentary affairs, making matters more about the matters themselves. As a result he ofc isn't going to get up high in the party. A refreshing thing to see these days, someone who clearly isn't in it to further solely themselves.

@ Alty. It's been a long and frustrating day. Might be nice to sit down with a glass of Clynelish and watch Paxo be a dick to two politicians I don't like. I'm in.

Being a Northern peasant I'm on the bottles of bitter, but otherwise I share those sentiments completely.

Why did it have to be Burley for the second half though? Can't stand the woman.

Number of sceptical or incredulous frowns by Paxman so far (5 minutes in) = approximately a billion.

Cameron easily responds to audience questions, it is when he is pressured that he struggles.

Didn't give a straight answer to a single fucking question and the buffoons in the audience still applauded him off at the end. Urghh.

He was keen to thank everyone for the important work they do. Such a thankful man.

I'd like to see someone set up their question by saying they're a pornographic actor or something, just to see how he reacts.

They've been a bit more challenging of Miliband with these questions. He's done quite well, I think. Slightly better than Cameron. Although I hate this obsession with finding out the questioner's name. Who gives a fuck, really? This isn't the start of a beautiful friendship.

Thought Miliband was decent, I'm coming around to him. Think he might struggle a bit more with Paxman though.

Yeah, tougher/nastier questions from the audience and Burley (displaying her bias with her usual sledgehammer subtlety) intervened a lot more, too. I agree he was better than Cameron. Not saying much. Still...

Kay Burley really does irritate me, interrupting with pointless questions. "Would you go for a pint with Cameron?". Fucking reptile

The bacon sandwich references were a bit see through, but he did well despite Burley constantly butting in which I notice she didn't do with Cameron.

Could get embarrassing with Paxman though...

He's at risk of getting too riled here. Started well but is getting a bit bogged down now.
