No they aren't. I believed in them when I was younger and I was sure that I'd had "experiences" but once I stopped believing I stopped having them. It's all a load of rubbish. As I said in the box a friend of my girlfriends thinks that she can contact them....... :bl: Con artist if she starts charging people as I told her.

No need for a poll and no need for a thread.

I'm sensing some negative energy around you...perhaps a reading is needed?

Hey now for an open minded lad you aren't half being a bit dictatorial there!

I think it's all a load of bollocks too but, you know.

In all seriousness, I have no reason to believe in them as I have yet to experience anything to do with them though many people I speak to have felt and experienced it so, yeah:dk:.

Don't believe in ghosts, but love getting swept up in a creepy, tall story.

I think my favourite ones are those where little children talk about meeting their dead grandparents they never knew, or the old man who lived in their house in the 1920s, that sort of thing. Pub ghosts are cool too, because of the pub factor. If I were a ghost, I reckon I'd have some proper diva demands.

Opposing the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre!!!!
You lot clearly haven't seen the excellent documentary Ghostbusters which is jam packed with empirical evidence that ghosts exist.

I didn't believe ghosts exist until my Xbox 360 controller moved from one arm of the chair to the other overnight. I'm now convinced.

A family friend used to not believe in ghosts and now she swears blind about her experience.

She worked in deciding which government funded nursing homes should be shut. One time they'd cleared everything (and everyone) out of a home bar the fax machine, because it was so expensive it wasn't just going to be chucked out with the other stuff. So off she went to this empty former-nursing home to open up and help the removal man with the fax machine that was in the cellar. As they both got in they locked the front door behind them and went down. After a few moments she heard a 'hello' shout from behind her, both she and the removal man turned round and saw nobody there. Not believing in ghosts she panicked they'd left a resident in there on their own and this was about to turn into a Panorama special. She went running upstairs at which point all the bedroom landing doors started to slam shut, one after the other. Anyone who has worked in residential homes will know that doors are held open on electric magnets so maybe somebody had turned them off? She rang head office after a quick scan of the building to check if they could see any heat spots on the CCTV. They couldn't. She spoke to some locals outside who insist that the home has always been haunted.

Start a poll on whether there needs to be a poll on ghosts. Sorted.
Good thinking young man. You take it over though mate. I'm a touch saddened and dispirited by the general apathy shown towards this thread if I can be brutally honest with you.

I generally try and stay open minded to the whole psychic scene and the idea that there's 'another dimension'. What I can't tolerate is fuckin orbs. The arses that shit themselves when looking through your photos to say "Look, there's your grandad sat next to you", how awful they are.

I used to work nights in an older people's ward in a fairly decrepit hospital that used to be a workhouse. Plenty of scope for ghostly sightings you'd think, but I'm afraid I never had a sniff.

Mice, a window smashed with a hammer (it landed on the carpet), a firework slotted through an open window in the bathroom and exploding in the toilet bowl, the occasional old fella walking round naked, lots of shouting, but no ghosts. A lot of my colleagues reckoned they'd seen them over the years.
