Our fanbase is embarrassing, we've won 9 out of our last 53 games in all competitions and yet our players STILL get clapped off by some.

I find this ridiculous, but I'm going to guess that it is one of two things:

-The ones who clap just love watching the Alex, simply aren't too bothered about the game or the season as they really enjoy the day out and know that come rain, shine or in a monsoon; they would still turn up every week.

-Or, they are extremely blind, can't think for themselves and actually believe the embarrassingly poor PR that the club releases on a weekly basis. If this is the case then they deserve everything they get.

If it is the second one, then it makes me feel sad for those who travelled down yesterday, to watch another spineless display and have figured out that the club, is in fact, a complete and utter shambles.

It's no wonder that Steve Davis appears to have the safest job in league football.

I left early so didn't see the team clapped off but I would put money on them being one of two kinds of supporters. Firstly exiles who don't see them week in week out and will clap anything, or secondly fans who lap up everything the club tells them about how amazing and unique we are.

Problem is, those fans who voiced their concerns early in the season were shouted down by fans happy to be lost in their own delusions. Somehow thinking giving kids the chance is more important than success, or an excuse for Davis' shocking management is the dumb as fuck line "good job we didn't sack Dario blah blah blah". Anyone who wanted change early in the season, refusing to accept a lucky win as a sign of change, have been shouted down as not real fans or fans just looking to whinge. Cos we should all be fucking jumping for joy at this season.

And they'll be there again next season, waiting for one of a handful of wins to complain about "whingers". Whilst a hell of a lot of good fans stay away because they see a club dying on its arse.
