Well even Doohan had been playing decently until then...

If it’s any consolation wait until you see on the highlights what Jack Stevens did on Accy’s first goal. Nothing can be worse than that.

I think that was worse than the Cambridge loss and topped off by our best midfielder Ojo losing his rag at the end and getting sent off. The team looks like it has quit. I don’t think we are in any real danger of the bottom four but I can’t wait for some of these to fuck off in a months time.

Thought we were fairly comfortable first half but Exeter threw everything at us second half and will wonder how they haven’t got at least a point. Really hard fought away 3 points for us there

Thought we deserved something but ultimately the loss of Mitchell and Stansfield left us lacking the killer ball up front. Not too disheartened though, brought on a couple of kids who look like they could be the next off the rank.

We are going down simple as that, we’ve completely given up and as I said if we put in the Cambridge performance again we’d get panned and we did, against a dire Accrington. Worse still we pretty much handed them the goals on a plate, Stephens dropping one, switching off for the second then a poor penalty to give away.

Zero chance we are getting another point this season, we’ve played two sides who’ve been absolute cannon fodder for months and lost 5-0 over the two games.

We’ve given up.

Played better than that this season and lost.....Santos was a big miss despite us keeping a clean sheet

Get in, massive win that. Ok so other results weren’t totally helpful but keeps us right in it and drags Oxford and Dons in.

Massive three points that. Did excellent to grind out a result after a draining week with injuries on top. COYWM!

Today's results mean ourselves and Vale will still have an eye on the bottom 4. Don't think either of us will go but it's been rare to see pretty much all the bottom sides picking up points this season.

At least we’re consistent.

Well done Cambridge, giving yourselves more than a fighting chance to stay up. Be interested to hear from any fans at the game, onto Monday and Joseph Barton's return to Highbury

Poor old Big Dunc’s on an 8.3 win% after his first 12 games as a manager. 1-2-9. That doesn’t include his 1 win in 5 as caretaker at Everton.

Can only get better I suppose.

Thrown away 2 points today thanks to Morrell's stupidity. Pompey were comfortable until that silly red card and second half we were penned back until the equaliser.

Any lingering play-of hopes now hang by the tiniest of threads. We basically have to win every game now although we still do have some of the dross of this division to play.

Decent 1-0 win to improve our terrible home form.
Not an exciting game but was a clear pen (handball). Charlton offered little threat and now thats the double we've done over them this season. Should be safe now I think but a win on Monday will cement that.

One more win for us and we are safe. And we have 2 games in hand. We are not going down I feel. Plus we are in good form.
Great win today.

Barnsley were the best side I've seen this season at our place by a mile. Great win for you today.

Christ that penalty (and red card) decision not given for Barnsley today was a shocker how’s the referee missed that?

Ironically enough it was a scuffed kick from Rushworth, which set-up our very well worked second goal. Not seen it again but it felt at the time it had created panic and out lot decided to pretty much one touch from there to the goal!

A comfortable 2-0 win in the end.

I always felt that we were already safe but I'm not so sure now. Our team has given up...half of them know they won't be playing for us next season and we're on a dreadful run.

I can't actually believe that we got zero points out of the last 2 games. Both teams we played wanted it far more than us.

Crazy that we should be in this situation.

Ridiculous to play him, he’s garbage, Oxford have any sense they’ll let us play him Monday. Maybe he was helping them out.

Stunned how we’ve gone from the Portsmouth performance to these last two, something isn’t right somewhere. Lot of calls for DC to go tonight for the first time.
For the first time?
Really?
He’s fucking clueless.
Project my arse.
We’re toast.

Relegation places still up to vale and Cheltenham I think due to Accrington and Cambridge winning.
It’s going to be tight. 2 have gone, so it’s 2 places left to play for.

That penalty for Oxford was ridiculous. That said I think the ref felt sorry after not giving them one beforehand which looked blatant to me.

DC just doesn’t seem right, like he’s lost the interest almost, is it the Portsmouth job? Or maybe struggling with what happened last year which would be understandable but he just seems flat.

The worry is they’ve given up and don’t seem to be playing for him.

Also worth adding it got very toxic at the end (at Accrington again!!! As per 2011 under Gannon!).

A couple of the players smiling didn’t go down well as they trudged off and Robinson apparently told fans to fuck off…

Anything less than 100% effort Monday and it really won’t be pleasant at full time.

The way he treats players is wrong in my opinion..
Benning, absolutely hapless all season, shits out of tackles, cannot find a teammate, yet he’s lauded by Clarke ( although recently he appears to have seen quite how shit he is)
Butterworth has been one of our more creative players ( our only?) yet rarely plays him
Conlon has shown real quality in the past, has never looked anywhere near this season, why?
The injury?
Playing one week not the next?
I know it’s a trope that the vale fans on here wet their pants when the owls player flukes one in from 20 yards, or the refs hate smudge, or we’ll lose 7 fucking nil, or whatever, but the truth is thus..
We fluked the first 4 months, riding the crest of a wave.
That fucker has crashed.
And so have we.
Enjoy your win Monday Oxford.
I might find a fete to go to.
