1-0 up at HT v FGR.

FGR have generally been poor, and you can see why they're where they are.

Not aggressive or physical enough to my mind (apart from Omotoye up front, who's certainly putting in a shift and making a nuisance of himself, which is what you'd want to see as an FGR fan).

They're pinging it about on the deck, but as with so many teams at this level, they're not consistent enough to pull that off to the extent where they can actually be dangerous with it, as the play usually just breaks down before they get into an attacking position.

That said, no-one should take them completely for granted, they did have the ball in the back of the net at one point but it was chalked off for a foul, much to the disgust of the FGR fans behind the goal.

Very watchable first half, very little in it. We're defending well as would be expected but Cheltenham are causing us more problems than any other side in recent times. I sense we're a little edgy, I feel like there's a tension that we haven't had for the past 8 games.

Hopefully Cheltenham tire in the second half and our all star bench can unlock the defence. They have demonstrated in the first half that they have the ability to hurt us.

It's setup for an interesting second 45. Cheltenham are legitimately intriguing, at least on today's first half performance - for all intensive purposes they have deployed a low 4x4 block but have not shy'd away from committing men forward in possession. Not bad on the eye at all.

Effort there first half at least and battled well. Neither side has shown any threat whatsoever up until now and Oxfords time wasting is on another level, have they not seen how shit we are! Their physio has done more running that anyone!

Referee is awful, every touch they roll around need the physio gives it, Ellis bundle over… nothing.

Need to keep the effort up and try and find a bit of quality from somewhere. Finely balanced.

Apparently Edwards coming on. When he's on form, he's unstoppable. I have a lot more faith in his ability than that of Harness.

Two poor teams. Oxford doing peak Stevenage/Wycombe tactics. Clearly trying to hold it at 0-0 and then feigning injury on probably 3 to 4 occasions. It's a really poor watch.

I am absolutely stunned that Oxford would employ such "tactics".

I’m not sure why Sky didn’t pick the Port Vale fixture instead of the Sheff Wednesday one.

Anyway, a gripping first half.

FFS that's awful. We've completely dominated this second half, then a defensive nightmare and an equaliser.

We wouldn't have scored if we were still playing this time tomorrow. Thank the lord for the wind/defensive howler

We’ve dominated Cheltenham for pretty much every half in the past 2 seasons and not won any of the 4 games! So many twists and turns!

Well beaten by a decent Wycombe showing and not much offered by us despite the odd incident and one off the line. Had their commentary on my dodgy stream and they were about the highlight of the experience from my POV, fair and pleasant and on top of the job.

Pressure back on Ipswich and Plymouth now! When/who are their games in hand against?

Well, as the cliche goes, nothing goes in your favour when you're down the arse end of the table.

FGR had the ball in the back of the net once - chalked off for a foul, then they had a blasting shot at point blank range which just happened to go straight into our keeper's arms (he didn't have time to react, he just happened to be perfectly placed).

They did show a little more fight and physicality in the second half, but I guess they'll be mathematically gone shortly.

As far as us, we just have to keep going and getting the wins on the board, odds are against us getting 6th, but Cambridge did us a big favour getting that equaliser v Bolton today.

Although mathematically we're only 3 points off 6th, it may as well be 4pts with our poor GD.

Should have won that against the 12 men of Oxford, their keeper kept them in it. Pleased with the effort and performance though.

First half was the most 0-0 game you could ever see. Livened up in the second and we could have won it but so could they. Silly from Dennis to elbow their lad and get sent off.

With other results not too bad in the end for us.

Completely in our hands though. Wednesday have got to keep winning and hope points are dropped like today.

Definitely becoming a bit of a bogey team for you. Was always going to take a mistake for us to score, just didn't think it would happen with your defensive record. A real bonus point for us and a step closer to safety.

Of course. But as shown by our slump, things can change at any time. We lost another couple to injuries today when we’re already short so not ideal.

I think one for Muff must be against us as our game was called off due to the Pizza cup final. We play them at Home Park on 25th Apr, a week after we play yourselves at the Mem.
We still have Derby and Bolton to play at home, and Posh away too, so have a big say in the top places

Need to see it again but seemed ok to lay one on Conlon earlier!

Point closer but annoyed we haven’t beaten them today as they were far poorer than I expected.

Thought we looked nervy. Defended well apart from the ludicrous equaliser.

Big opportunity missed but it's still in our hands. Would rip your hand off for 2nd, fuck importance of winning the league, let's just get out if it.

If I'm speaking without bias, I think we edged it but we certainly didn't dominate. I don't feel short changed from the 1-1 draw, as significant as it is for us, I thought you were nice on the eye despite the low block.
