Our Twitter isn’t the best, seen worse though.

We seem to recruit new media staff every year, so not really sure who runs it but seems to be someone called Connor Shaw who does the majority, journalism grad previously worked at Wycombe. Chester and Stoke apparently.
Our twitter is full of Bolton fans which is a bit strange since they aren't our rivals and we are supposed to be obsessed with them.

It is absolutely obscene how often Salford get a ref on their side, it’s becoming beyond a coincidence now

Neville would've sacked him had they lost today.

That one was a pen tbf although it wouldn’t have changed the result. However 3 dives in the box before that and embarrassing appeals, it was probably a case of boy who cried wolf. I wonder if the Twitter account was so honest for the dives...

At least we lead all game so didn’t have to suffer a Cooper master class in time wasting.

Forest Green play attractive football, but crumpled under any real press.

We passed it around beautifully in our own half, at least until some big bastard in yellow and red came in and challenged for the ball and we panicked. Annoying twats, leave us to our little triangles ffs.

I`m not going to say Exeter were poor, I think it was more Vale were very good today and if Exeter have got any money they could do worse than sign Theo Robinson for a few hundred thousand at the end of the season. I`m sure they could twist the arm of our chairperson.

He was outstanding today, he’s worth persevering with, hopefully that goal gets him going again.

Seems like Andy Cook is doing what Doyle did to us, looks crap then goes out on loan and is a different player.

That was another efficient performance from ourselves, Jobi has managed to get us cutting out the basic errors we was prone to making.

The game itself was unspectacular on a poor pitch - Which I can't imagine helps Mansfield or gives their players any sort of confidence.

We capitalised on two dreadful errors from Mansfield - Not sure how much home work Clough would've done on us, but Danny Johnson always reads those sort of back passes from the opposition - He did it last week and we scored from it, he's done it regularly this season and we've got goals from it and two in the same game today.

We defended well, but Mansfield rarely troubled us, they seemed to be lacking any nous in the final third. We turned possession over a bit too much for my liking, kept aiming balls over the top a bit too much. But at this stage of the season, its the result that matters.

17 Clean Sheets now this season for ourselves, but we have to win Monday as well because we can't really afford to slip up because the teams around us have 2 games in hand compared to our one.

We're not quite fucked yet! From being so bad in the first half, that turnaround was great! I was getting worried we might not pick up another point this season. Cheering on Carlisle tomorrow!

Judging the way they played today, they really could've done with him he'd have made a big difference IMO.

Rarely have I seen a worse referring display than I witnessed today at Salford. It was also witnessed (at the ground) by Giggs, Keen, Gary Nevil and Scoles; I wonder what they thought of the main official and whether they got value for their money (I think so). Sour grapes from me of course, but it was poor, very, very poor if you are a GTFC supporter.

Cook didn’t look crap, he just didn’t play much and his wages are absolutely massive and we let you take them on instead and he gets gametime.

It’s not getting a replacement that ruined us.

For the first time in ages we came steaming out of the blocks and got right in Tranmere's faces. When the first throw went in and caused absolute mayhem with the shout for a pen (never a pen I hasten to add) it seemed clear that was the way to go. Sure enough, seconds later, we were ahead. The second built on that, and then the third came just as Tranmere were getting back into it.

We seemed happy to sit on the 3-0 in the second half, until Callum Wright's wonderful volley put it out of reach.

That's what this team is capable of and has been all season. It's because of these performances that the ones against Barrow are so frustrating!!

Grimsby away on Monday, I pray that for once our players are up for it against a struggle - as much as I'd like to see them stay up.

Will be a tough game for Carlisle, being the worst team in the league and all

In a word (though others are available), embarrassing

Would prefer a proper long term fan to run it quietly and stick to facts, rather then the constant attention seeking we get currently from trained media guys.

i would really love to say we will do the business for you, but we haven’t won an away game since 2nd January. Can’t see that changing tomorrow.

Hoping the shittest team in the UK do us a favour tomorrow. Must be the end for Beech if they don't win.

FGR fans, what's your view on your club's Twitter account? I'm sure every week I see them complaining about penalties being given/not given, seems very unprofessional. Here's today's example:
Cheltenham have had a good 4-0 win against close promotion rivals but take time out to check out FGR's twitter.
Really sad for them.

Grasping at straws there pal, I follow FGR and our other promotion rivals on Twitter, as I'm sure a lot of people on here do too.
Suppose now that you're imploding and will be lucky to cling on to a playoff place I could think about unfollowing, you're no threat to us any more.

A really strange game today. I did not think we were 'outfootballed' at any stage, but we were hopeless at defending the long throws from the first minute. We were out of the game after 20-30 minutes due to failing to defend the set plays, before we had a chance to get a foothold and string some passes together.

Four goals conceded, three from the second phase of a long throw, and one after a defensive error.

Our lack of preparedness worries me though and Hill has to take some responsibility for the way we defended. We were not set up properly to deal with the throws and started the game at half pace, when we knew Cheltenham would be physical and get in our faces.

I think the absence of Scott Davies really affected us more than we expected, as Murphy did not command his box and there was no communication at the back.

An immediate response is needed against Cambridge on Monday.

As others have said Forest Green's diving was off the scale. Complete airshots from their forwards and everyone is screaming for a pen. Really was disgraceful and worthy of a couple of bookings. But credit to the ref who didn't buy any of their bollocks.

And a special shout out to their number 5. If only he put as much effort into his defending as he does whining to the ref, his side may not have conceded 4 goals today.

When you're bringing a reserve keeper in out of necessity, really need your first choice central defensive pair who've been playing together a while to be on top of their game. Instead Clarke turns in just about his worst performance in a Rovers shirt and Ray reverts to the mediocrity of last season. I think Scott Davies would have been more vocal, but not convinced he'd have made a great difference to the score-line when the defenders in front were so below par. Their fourth goal was class and as it was hit from well outside the area, you're not expecting players to close down so much at that distance.

Cheltenham were much the better team and deserved their comfortable win, but we made it far too easy for them today.

We were clearly robbed, if the ref had given us 5 penalties we would have stood a good chance of getting a point.

Clarke is forty and has played fifty games this season and looks knackered. I think we can forgive him an off day today. Ray has been solid in recent weeks as well.

Davies is a good communicator and I think he would have organised the defence in front of him better. I also think he would have been more commanding when coming out to claim balls. I think Davies' absence was a major factor in the defeat, but the biggest issue was the apparent lack of preparation on the training ground for dealing with the set plays, and the lack of aggression all over the pitch.

Cheltenham certainly deserved to win, but they did not cut us apart in open play for any of the goals.
