Im glad hes gone and im a gateshead fan. Simply because one of gateaheads best players marcus maddison made the club alot of money when sold to peterbrough and if sold on to a bigger club would net the club a load of cash. He seemed to be out of favour with westley. So whos the foaves for job? Wonder if it would intrest steve mcclaren so he can re-build his reputation or john carver. The club do seem to go through a few managers. Is chairman like the guy at leeds united?

To be fair to Westley, he can get his teams playing some really good football. We saw it for a little bit at Peterborough, they passed us to pieces at Glanford Park. His main problem is that he changes the side far too often, if he saw the error in his ways and stopped being so stubborn he might do quite well.

Not talking about this decision itself as it's probably the right one but I feel League One fans expect far too much for their managers. Our fans get on any managers back the second they make a mistake, it's crazy. A lot of fans need to accept that at League 1 level they're only going to be able to get League 1 standard managers who aren't going to be perfect.

Westley is a Conference manager though.

Not so sure about that. He admitted he was going with McCann's tactics at the start whilst he learnt about the players, then he did and it all went to shit.

Nearly 40 changes to the starting line up in the last 10 games says a lot, as does the fact he has never played the same back four.

His tactics were bizarre and his interviews even more so. He was labelled David Brent here. After our game yesterday he said we needed to lose now so we could get a 'long term winning' strategy in place by giving players game time. He spoke absolute shit.

I say get him back and give him another chance. He's just misunderstood.

After all, attitude is more important than ability..

More seriously, a switch back to Stevenage wouldn't be bad for him. He and Stevenage just seem to combine well together. I wonder why?

He was given the David Brent/ used car salesman tag here as well.

If football was based on talking then he would be at Barcelona.

I thought he was doing a solid job.

On another note, do Peterborough fans feel that their chairman is doing a good job? He always seems to be on Twitter arguing with someone about something. No questioning his passion and that he has helped you buy some good players in the past, as an outsider though it all looks to be going a little bit pear shaped?

Posh's gamesmanship at Gigg Lane a few weeks back was nothing short of pathetic.

His heart is in the right place. He takes things personally and he's always the fans number one guy to lash out at. The frustration of being in League One for 3 years just makes it worse.

You'll all be lashing out when we turn you over next year (can you tell I'm looking forward to it).

Is Barry Fry still there? What does he do?

Depends who we bring in as to how confident I will be on that one.

You don't know how Steve Evans operates. He would never rule out any club, incase he ever gets that desperate. He said he'd never work for Cellino, guess what happened? You'd be very naive to believe every word that came from his mouth.

He's never ever said he supports Peterborough, it's a myth. In his weekly column on our website he always referred to Celtic as his club, not once mentioning Peterborough or even suggested he cared about em.

His daughter worked in the club shop for a while and he's mates with Barry Fry, that's as far as it goes. You'll find no quote saying he supports you.

The links come from numpties jumping on the fact he sometimes attends your games (invited by Fry) putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5.

Believe what you want to believe, you're hearing the truth.

Sorry, but couldn't hear anything.

Must be bullshit?!

Patrick Kluivert, Neil Adams & Jose Domingues among those to have applied.

Would still like McCann to have it.
