I'm backing Dusty Carpets at 33/1 he never gets beat.

Wouldn't normally side with the favourite in the National but I do like Vieux Lion Rouge.

Not had a look through the confirmed entries since it was whittled down, but if anyone owns up to backing The Romford Pele I'll block you instantly because he will not win.

No doubt I'll be dispatched to the bookies with all the in-laws' and kid's bets, as per. I've only ever backed one Grand National winner in me life - Earth Summit in 1998. I still smart when I think of What's Up Boys getting mugged by Bindaree in 2002.

Well Scotland and we won on it too. May buy a few whiskies off the winnings as well.

Nearly went for the winner but talked myself out of it. Did get 2nd, 4th and 6th for a small profit.

I was playing with the idea of backing One For Arthur, but I had already backed 4 so I didn't bother. A tenner each way on Saint Are paid about a tonne so profit at least.

The old man picked 1st, 2nd and 3rd!

I don't really ever bet, but since we were kids my parents have always put a bet on Grand National for us.

So this year, I thought I'd let my Spanish girlfriend who knows nothing about horse racing choose, thinking she's bound to get some beginner's luck.

Anyway, she liked the sound of Vicente, so I asked if she'd picked it after the footballer. She hadn't even heard of him, so I got her to read his wikipedia page out to me to practice her English.

I got very confused by the end of the following!

Anyway, put the bet on and the bloody thing fell at first, a concept that greatly confused my gf.

At least they didn't have to kill the thing.
