Grayson leaves having only joined four or five months ago after his list of demands (improvements) have clearly not been met by the board.
How long until we can have a ‘Charlton Circus’ esk thread for ourselves? Sign the bloke with the best CV in the league and don’t let him implement the changes we need to move forward. Back to square one.

Can't say i'm surprised, wouldn't be that bothered either if wern't for the fact it tells us how poor our budget will be next season.

Total waste of time, took us from 6th to 11th to boot. Cheers Simon, you'll always be a club legend here.

who you want ?
Whoever it is they won’t have a 100% 4/4 promotion success rate from this division like the bloke we’re not backing. I’d take Warburton given his youth record and our owners focus on that rather than the first team, no doubt it’ll be Rosler or some other nearly man like Alexander or McCann.

Football club owners can be so fucking stupid.

Grayson will probably take the Barnsley job and get them straight back up.

Have no idea who we'll go for now, what a mess. Even though his football was absolutely garbage, given the backing he gave us the best opportunity to go up.

As good as Grayson can be at this level, he needs backing.

Us, Shitpool and Leeds all gave him a decent budget, do that and he will get it right eventually.

Can see him going to Scunthorpe.

I’m not saying I’m a fan of the owners at all but if they aren’t leaving then Grayson’s not the guy for us. His reaction to a mediocre squad was to just go ultra defensive and it was piss poor to watch and didn’t yield any decent results until the last few games when everything was winding down.

You're alright, we are in a bad enough state as it is.

Apparently we offered him a 2 year deal and he turned us down, not sure why he came here really if he had no intention of staying, not exactly put himself in the shop window with the results and was never going to turn things round with the way he set his teams up.

He’s talked about how he sees himself as a Champ manager, he turned a load of clubs down to come here blah blah. He also had a weird fetish for stuff like sorting the training field which is never gonna happen as it’s a flood plain.

I’m sure he will still walk into another job.

I've always rated Grayson and thought he'd take you up after he was appointed. But I suppose the phrase you can't polish a turd comes to mind.
Hope he gets the Barnsley job.

He was heavily rumoured to come here the other week so i can see that happening.

I would quite like him but it would be hard not to give it to Nick Daws after he has had two pretty great caretaker spells.

He plays shit footy and apparently needs a lot of money to do so. I doubt you would ‘like’ him.

Rosler ‘not interested', thought he was a shoe-in. Desperate times if even he doesn't fancy working for/being told what to do by our illustrious and qualified leader.

What are Bradford fans expecting exactly? You charge the lowest for season tickets the main source of income for a lower league club so you will just be left with the players and manager the clubs who have promotion aims don’t want?

If you charged actual prices in line with the rest of the league then you would be able to compete more

We had McCall who was actually doing fine and was generally well liked by all fans and our fuckwit chairman sacked him.

If a manager comes in and takes us from 6th to 11th with relegation form for a good two or three months of the season despite saying he’s top quality then what reaction do you expect.

Fuckwit chairman?

Come on, fans were calling for his head anyway. Name me a club who wouldn’t consider sacking someone who had seemingly lost the dressing - losing 6 games in a row.

All the owners fault, though.

I don't think many were calling for his head even after 6 losses. I was surprised when we sacked him although I can see why he did it at the time. It's ok to say you're wrong and admit that sacking the guy who had us in the play-off positions for a year and a half with a wank budget was a fuckwit move though.

That's even if you disregard his bizarre megalomaniac tendencies. The guys a fucking wierdo Firthy.

How wank was the budget, and what is this compared too? Previous seasons? Grayson’s understanding of what a L1 playing budget should be - given his previous employers all offered him mega bucks to work with? Parkinson had a so called wank budget, too. What’s the difference, I just don’t get it?

How much of the rumours are actually true though? What makes him a weirdo?

All I see is a bunch of fans aiming hatred towards an owner who really hasn’t done much wrong. Everything he does is scrutinised and sometimes taken completely out of context.

Roll back to our victory away to Fleetwood in Jan, and everything was deemed to be fine. The moment something goes wrong.......Edin Rahic.

We’ve had a mid table budget for ages. It’s the only thing that’s actually been confirmed by the club instead of the usual figures that you pull out your arse. Parkinson did have a wank budget compared to where he had us in the league, much like McCall, and most were happy for him to stay too, don’t really get your point there.

I agree with you about Grayson, ran away at slightest sign that he wasn’t going to be bankrolled, but that’s his prerogative, he will have better offers.

I’ll give Rahic the benefit of the doubt after his interview the other day, he came out and basically said he’s got no money to invest and we’d have to be self sufficient by getting sellable assets in. Which is all I wanted to hear after two years of ‘we should be going up in the autos’ and him making goon bids for players we can’t afford to then pay, and basically a load of bullshit on his part.

Him and Rupp have also said they’ve learnt lessons. I understand they want a say in which players come to the club but once they’re here he should be leaving he coach to deal with them and not getting involved which it’s pretty widely accepted he has done before (Yeovil).

If we recruit well in the summer and he trusts whoever he appoints to manage us then I’ll be happy he’s changed. If we’ve got a mid table budget then so be it, I’ll accept mid table in this league after the last 10 years. As long as he’s looking to further the club and not just using us as a hobby then I have no problem with him.

Regardless of ticket prices, I think fans of any club can expect better than 3 wins in 14 which Grayson delivered after been in the playoffs none stop for the previous 18 months.

We sold around 19,000 season tickets last season, so double the pricing and half the numbers sold it would still be 9,500 at £300, way above what most bring in at this level. Plus we sold an estimated 15,000 shirts which is probably more than everyone outside the top 2 leagues.
